Another railway tragedy/ I am so sorry for the loss of Buddy. My thoughts are with his family. Nightie, night, sleep tight, and have fun with "Peanuts" (Shih Tzu) who is waiting to play. RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for Buddy. Run free litle one. When the time is right, ylou will meet Buddy at the bridge, and cross together; never to be parted. Now in the care of the loving Angels, surrounded by love.

I was so very sad to receive a call from Buddy's owners with this tragic outcome and my thoughts are with the family. It is always such a worry if a dog has been sighted near rail tracks. Rest in peace little man xxx

We are very sad to say that Buddy has been found dead on the rail track. Thank you to absolutely everyone who has helped us in searching for him. We so wish it was a happy outcome and not this one.

Bumping for a possible sighting as in post below by Bev.
This sighting tallies well with the previous sighting on Wednesday of him near the rail tracks at between 4 and 4.30 pm. At this sighting he is reported to have run in a direction which would lead to the Millers Arms which is on Spark Lane where the possible sighting we have received today was made shortly afterwards.
We need lots of posters up in the Mapplewell,Staincross, Darton, New Lodge and Athersley areas. Any help doing this would be very gratefully received. If you would like to help you can print posters directly from this page by clicking on the poster tab . Thank you!

Possible sighting of Buddy with 2 teenage boys using a rope as a lead on Spark Lane Mapplewell, Barnsley. The boys had a green BMX bike. Please come forward even if it is not Buddy to eliminate.

I have spoken to Buddy's owners and advised re checking with Cliffe Kennels and visiting to view all found dogs in person . They have done some postering and have been in contact with the microchip company.
When Buddy ran off he had only been with his new owners for a day and isn't familiar with the area.
There is a search planned for tomorrow morning.
Hoping Buddy is back with his new family very soon
