- Jayelle. A very good friend indeed. I hope your friends child recovers from chicken pox soon,. We were advised to keep our rescue cat in for one month, as she had been straying, which is different. One of my neighbours who had moved from another area let her cat out after just three days; no problem. Not that I would advise that, as you never knowLast edited: 2017-03-03 20:21:46

- When we moved house many years ago, our cat went back to our old house twice, despite having been kept indoors at the new one for several weeks. It took her a week to travel the 7 miles each time, across country. That may give some indication of the approximate speed of cat travel. Timmys Mummy, you are a lovely friend to Jimmy, I do hope he is found safe.

- Janiejewel1649 I have told the new owner what to do and passed on your advice. I live in the village where he used to live but nowhere near his new home which is a 20 minute drive away. I did wander around Jimmy's new home calling him as he does know me well. His new owner cannot go around the area as she has 2 small children, one with Chicken Pox, so stuck in the house. I will go again tomorrow.

- Of course Jimmy will be pining for his former owner. He may be of his food, and feel lethargic.. He has lost the most importantt thing in his life, and possibl;y trying to find his previous home.
Cats dislike change of any kind. They like what is familair to them. And will feel confused. Check all outbuildings sheds etc in case shut in. Put And will feel confused. some tuna in hi dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Try rattling some dreamies too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too. Empty contents of the vacuum onto the garden, and litter tray if used. Put nhis blanket (Unwashed) into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden inb a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Poster aropund the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too. And ask around
He will still be grieving for the elderly lady and maybe off his food. W. When he returns I would pu a piece of cloth (With your scent on), and place it under his food dish. Also put a soft toy in his bed or on his blanket. I would keep him then for at least a week. Cats whose owners have died, can feel depressed like we can. Just give Jimmy time. This happened to someone I knew of. He soon settled down. Hope Jimmy is home soon. Paws xd.Last edited: 2017-03-03 15:47:48 - 2017-03-03 15:22 Timmy's Mummy
- I have now put posters in Lanchester Drive and some surrounding houses. The area is a vast estate of streets, cul de sacs, avenues etc. I have also informed Jimmy's vet and neighbours where he used to live. He is on Lost Pets in Banbury Facebook pages, so now there is nothing more I can do except hope and pray. Jimmy has some medical problems and has had operations on his ears and is prone to abscesses on his face. He could not defend himself if faced with a fierce animal.

- Jimmy belonged to an elderly lady so we do not have any photos of him. He is just a plain black moggie which we got from BARKS in Banbury.
