- As he is a nervous cat may have got shut in an outbuilding, when maybe he heard a noise, or saw someoene, and crept in. Check sheds, garages, greenhouses, empty houses, cellars in case shut in. When searching inside an outbuilding make sure he isn`t hding behind an object within that building. Cats are very good at keeping quiet, and still, especially iftimid like Dexter. They are excellent at it Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put his blanket (Unwashed) into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too. Also empty contents of the vacuum onto the garden as his scent will be there. Walk around the area hoilding an object with his scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Someone may be feeding him. (Common problem) Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention, or if has a favoutite toy, take that with you too, When looking for him wear the sanme deodorant say that you would use on a daily basis, as he will recognize the scent. Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too. Paws xd that Dexter will be home soon.Last edited: 2017-03-11 13:04:58
