Buster
Thank you frankie for your advice . I'm pleased to say that we got buster back tonight, he was found by the windmill near the cricketers in meopham after 8 days, about half a mile from our house, someone had seen the leaflet and called us, he's not in bad shape, lost a bit of weight but not too much, thank you everyone on this site who has helped and offered advice, I can't believe I've got him back, thank you , Annemarie

I'm so sorry to hear about Buster. Please notify local shelters (Rosina is Wrotham Heath; Battersea at Brands Hatch; Viking Oak in Borough Green; Animal Samaritans in New Ash Green) and vets (Meopham Vets and their sister practices at Sevenoaks and Swanscombe; Pennards in Borough Green and Sevenoaks; Pilgrims in West Kingsdown; Abbey in West Malling) and ask local stores and pubs if you can put posters up. They're usually very accommodating, particularly the Spar in Wrotham Road/Gravesend Road (opposite the Texaco petrol station)and the McColls in the parade by the station. I hope he turns up soon.Last edited: 2017-03-21 20:38:53 by FrankieB

When I share to my wall on fb, the photo shows as a doglost poster
:(((
Buster
Thank you for the advice Janie jewel , we're going to knock on all doors down our road today and ask everyone to check their garages and outbuildings, just in case some haven't seen the posters, kind regards

When checking outbuildings also check empty houses , and cellars too
Put some tuna/chicken in his dish, and call him night/early morning is best if you can. Rattle some treats too. Empty contents of the vacuum onto thegarden as his scent will be there. When looking for him wear the same deodorant say that you use on a daily basis, as he will recognize the scent , Walk around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as Doglost. Paws xd.Last edited: 2017-03-17 20:41:11
Buster
Thank you for the advice Skywalker99, we've put posters everywhere but will leaflet all the neighbours tonight, we'll give him some calls tonight when its quiet, we've also put some of his blankets and anything he could smell at the front of the house and the back, we've moved around 10 miles from our old house but i dont think he'd try to travel back there (we have checked just in case though). We've put it on all social media sites for the town we live in (Meopham) and also surrounding towns just in case he has gone a bit further. I've just got a feeling he isnt too far away but perhaps in a neighbours shed or garage. Appreciate your advice, kind regards Annemarie

try calling him in the small hours (midnight - 6.ooam), he could just be unsure of his way home and your voice travels further at night (got my cat back this way). Poster everywhere and leaflet all your neighbours.

Buster
i'll try and upload a closer picture of him ,kind regardsLast edited: 2017-03-17 10:13:55 by Buster
