- So lovely to see that Tommy has been found.
After seeing our Doglost advice chelsey1990 said that her parents were coming down today with their dog Frank who knows Tommy to see if that would help find him. Although Tommy would not come to her parents when they saw him (he kept running away) it worked having Frank there as it was him who found him and they then had a chance to catch him. Clever Tommy coming to Frank who was keeping himself well hidden in the cemetery! What a clever lad staying safe like that :)
Tommy has gone back to Essex now where he will be checked out by the vet and although he is skinny and was very nervous he is otherwise ok.
Welcome home Tommy :) - 2017-03-26 20:30 Unknown

- Good to hear about another sighting. I've advised that bedding/unwashed scent items are left nr to sighting. Cemeterys seem to attract lost dogs probably because they are quiet and few people go in them.
Please remember best time to search is at dusk and dawn when all is quiet.
Keep putting up those posters so that sightings keep coming in please.
Come on Tommy, show yourself again please laddie. - 2017-03-25 09:27 chelsey1990

- Thanks chelsey1990 for the information and good to hear that you have some new information.

- Hi, Tommy is only 18 months old and isn't from this area I am looking after him for my parents who live in Essex. Tommy has potentially been seen with a homeless man around the Preston circus Preston park area so please keep a look out and call the police if you think you have definitely seen him xx

- So sorry to see that Tommy is missing.
I've sent you our Doglost email advice which should help with your search.
Would you let us know how Tommy was lost please? Was he scared by something whilst out walking with you?
Please bear in mind that most dogs will return to the place where you lost them from or will make their own way home (if close enough) so please try leaving bedding/unwashed clothing (socks/tshirts work well) in that area so that Tommy has some familiar scent to find and come back to.
I would also suggest that you put as many posters up as possible so that everyone is aware that he is missing. If someone has found him and taken him in to safety then they will see a poster and will be able to call you.
Please would you make sure you have contacted the microchip company and Dog Wardens and followed the suggestions at the bottom of this page. Thanks.
Hopefully Tommy will be found very soon or make his own way home by the morning.
Best of luck with your search. - 2017-03-22 21:10 Gloria
