I asked owner through fb whether anything else was taken and response back that their blue Vauxhall Meriva car was stolen during the break-in, later found set alight. Stolen.. laptop computers, £400 cash and a handbag. There is now a £2000 reward no questions asked. There is also a Video on Find Barney page on fb. Keep an eye on local papers of anybody selling laptops etc and SDK in local pubs if any have been offered. Ask landlords pubs if they would display a poster as well and make sure mention is made on these even in writing that laptops were stolen at the same time! With such a high reward on offer now it might bring in some info.

Thank you Skywalker but our CJ is already assisting with owner and various other police agencies! Last edited: 2017-03-25 17:01:13 by ClaireC

Put posters up at Ford Car Boot and Market on Saturdays and Sundays. Put poster in post boxes for the postmen. Give posters to schools and colleges and taxi firms. Ask the shops in Barnham village to put up posters. Try and get posters up in Bognor Regis and Littlehampton
#stoppettheft
If anyone in Barnham area & beyond had 'cold callers' in the week or so before Barney's theft on 22nd/23rd March, PLZ call 101 & give them Description/s,
Do you have CCTV of them plz ?
Maybe someone selling Cleaning items etc. ?

Could this theft be related to somebody that knows of you and Barney as I read that it was just Barney and his bedding that was stolen?

On facebook there are various closed groups for selling and for wanted items. There are some for the Sussex areas so it might be worth locals joining this groups if not already done?

I cannot go into all the details ... but, this is one of the most upsetting cases I have ever dealt with. I have given advice and am waiting on the CRN so as to forward on to our police coord. This happened in Barnham West Sussex and the police are involved. I hope that this poor little puppy is okay and I will update as soon as I can x

Shared on FB. .I've also asked for people to check any Pet advertisements..It sickens me to the core hearing about dog theft..The house burglaries have a double effect as a dog can't be safe in its own home!..The law has got to get tougher. .Need to make him "TOO HOT TO HANDLE"..Got everything crossed that beautiful Barney is found very soon..xxLast edited: 2017-03-23 09:11:06 by Jaycey
