FORREST IS FOUND !!! Email from owner yesterday Hi Jane
 FORREST GUMP IS HOME!!!!
It's amazing after almost 16 months, keep having to pinch myself to realise I'm not dreaming!
Forrest is thankfully very well, albeit a torn dew claw, but had he not needed the vet, his micro chip would not have been read & Jade (Forrest's mum) & I wouldn't be the luckiest & happiest mummies on the planet!
Forrest was as excited as me when we were re united this afternoon!
Words can't describe how wonderful it is.
I remember those days of searching like they were yesterday. My thanks to you all again for helping.
I'll update you fully soon.
Luv Carolin & Forrest Gump XX I will update full story when i get it but it seems it was the chip that got him back. Such briilliant news for all WELCOME HOME FOREST and no more walkabouts !!

A SUBSTANTIAL REWARD has been offered by a 'Forrest Fan' for information leading to his return / recovery. Thank you. (this person shall remain name less!) I've added "REWARD" to the posters & leaflets. Hoping I hear something soon, it has been suggested that Forrest didn't go in the same direction as his mum after they were both scared by gun shots that morning - following up new lead. Thanks to everyone who is doing so much to help find FORREST. It is so disappointing having to call off the search yesterday because the cameras couldn't go further into the holes because of the rocks. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to help, it is very much appreciated. Today is Forrest's 9th day away......I hope & pray that luck is on his side & he comes home very soon. He is such a determined little guy in everything he does. Everyone misses him so much, especially his Mum Jade, they are so very close. He is such a big character with a huge heart, life is so empty without him. Fingers crossed for our special dog. Thanks again to you all. X Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I would also advise owner to cover kennels further afield just incase he has been picked up and taken out the area as was another dog only last week. I have sent details onto Redsheen just in case as well. CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just got back from being with carolin plus a plummer with drain cameras plus other helpers. Spent almost 3 hours in dense undergrowth on noth downs. looked down 5 or 6 holes but no signs of anything. The camera could go fairly deep but debris and tree roots stopped it going any further. the ones we looked down would need to be able to go much deeper if he was trapped in a narrow part. the place showed evidence of both rabbits and badgers. A JRT could survive in these parts on rabbits if he decided to stay out! It is still possible that he could have got picked up by a passing car on the top road or along the lane where he lives. So anyone with contacts nr to here please spread the word.( Home is in the grounds of Cobham riding stables so a well known place for local people) CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just a thought if Forest Gump is in a hole.......owner of Murphy, missing terrier cross TR20, used a drain unblocking company to put their tiny cameras on a flexi pole down loads of rabbit holes to check them out, was really effective at checking a wide area quite quickly. Hi, just emailed the picture of Forest Gump to a few friends who work in Maidstone town centre who are going to hand some posters out in their lunch break. I'm actually heading over to Maidstone at the end of the week so will take some posters with me and have a nose around. I really hope this little fella is found safe and well very soon. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can you say what the disablement is or is that being held back for identification security? xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner Carolin has phoned me and i have advised various places to make contact and check. Forrest Gump is disabled as he has Cerabellar Hypoplasia- this makes him have poor co-ordination and he looses balance and can go round in circles. he has dissapeared before while out rabbiting and was away for 6 days.I have given the phone number of contact for the Fen and moorland working terrier club- so she can phone for expert advice as she feels he has gone to hole. She has aleready cobntacted the dog warden and local rescues and will be geting posters to local horse riders this afternoon. if she needs more advice she will get back to me .
