A man in a white van sold a 10 month old Springer to another man - a neighbour of mine knows of this new "owner" - on the motorway services near me. There was supposed to be 7 other Springer puppies in the van too. The man in the van had said he was from a charity rescuing dogs from Ireland but my neighbour and I think it highly suspicious. It would be like buying a dog from a pub. A charity would not have sold it at a services. This could be part of what is going on in NN7 - stealing them to breed and sell the puppies. Just a thought. If anyone needs more information for police purposes my neighbour knows where this new "owner lives.

Has anyone noticed the large amount of dogs that are being reported 'stolen' from the NN7 post code (Northampton).
In the last 5 weeks alone - 47 dogs have been stolen from that area - MOST of them were Spaniels - and 8 of them were heavily pregnant!!!

"Sweep" the little Cocker Spaniel that was stolen from NN7 over a year ago - has been found!! In the same NN7 area.
I don't want to jump to conclusions - but let's face it - there is obviously a gang of dog thieves working in the NN7 area who favour Spaniels - and the more pregnant the better.
These thefts can't be just "random" - I believe the owners of ALL the stolen mums were stalked for weeks prior to the theft.
The thieves knew exactly when all the pups were due - how??? I think they all live locally & are known to sell Spaniel puppies (and adults) on a regular basis.
I also think the RSPCA are aware of these scumbags - but surely they MUST have made the connection by now.
8 pregnant bitches stolen from the same area?? - some within days of each other??

I have been utterly shocked & horrified with comments made about these poor dogs and breeder which have no foundation and really feel for their owners and how frightened these dogs will be. This is hardly getting shared on facebook/twitter due to negativity so can I ask everyone to really push these dogs out there and keep them high profile and for doglost keep them bumped up on the front page please as they really need to be found as soon as possible. Is there anything CJ can do to push the police in this area?

Really hope these poor dogs and puppies are soon safely found and home. There are mummy dogs and their pups and expectant (including heavily) mums that need to be in familiar surroundings with people who love them. Unfortunatly Dog theft has been going on for some years now , but has steadly got worse ! Its still not taken seriously by SOME Police forces.

As owl says please Doglost is a lost and found site...we are not here to judge anyone...well except dog thieves...please remove any concerns you may want to bring up to a suitable FB page and leave us to do the job of helping to locate these stolen dogs.
Any further comments not related to the task in hand will be removed...which means we will have to spend our time monitoring all comments instead of concentrating on finding the dogs.
The dogs are now being put on individualLy (thank you GillyP) so photos can be seen clearer than on a multi poster. This thread will remain open as the general thread.

Bdurrant, have you considered the possibility that these dogs are now in worse position than they were? Not sharing does not help the dogs, I am sure adequate checks will be made on the business when the dogs are returned now there has been this level of publicity.

Surely someone would have heard the dogs barking from the vehicle they were being carried in...We need to get this on the main news channels for anyone who can give information...If it's travelers their whereabouts nay be known...Hope these poor dogs and their babies are found soon xx

Legitimate, licensed breeders could have this number and variety of dogs. It would be a shame if people didnt share it because the assumption was that it was a puppy farm without proper checks being made.

Lots of ads for different breeds of puppies for sale in Kislingbury area via www.pets4homes.co.uk Caring, responsible breeders find homes for their puppies before considering breeding! Nine dogs and 12 puppies were stolen from a kennels on the outskirts of Northampton on Tuesday night.

Offenders broke into the premises between 10pm on Tuesday, 28 March and 9.30am on Wednesday, 29 March, taking the dogs and puppies with them.

They broke padlocks to access the kennels and are believed to have cut through fencing to get to the location.

The dogs taken included:

- A female red Cocker Spaniel with six Cockerpoo puppies, aged six weeks (Pic 1-2)
- A female white/cream Cockerpoo, leaving behind a litter of puppies (Pic 3)
- Two pregnant female Schnauzers (Pic 4)
- A female black and tan King Charles Cavalier (Pic 5-6)
- A red and white King Charles Cavalier (Pics 7-8)
- A female Sable Cocker Spaniel with six chocolate and black Sable puppies (Pics 9 – 10)
- A female red Cocker Spaniel who was very heavily pregnant (Pics 11-12)
- A male black Toy Poodle

We are appealing for anyone who may have been offered any of the dogs or puppies for sale, or who may have any information about this incident to contact us.
