- The owners seem to understand what is needed and she is so close now.It will be a waiting game to gain trust and i am sure will lead to a positive outcome.
Jayne at HO would not have known the camera was in use and the message was put on late last night requesting use. Had i seen this i would have said it was in Colchester. However after you left a message at HO and they phoned me i was able to clarify this straight away.

- I have just seen update re camera and now understand that it is in Colchester. If this had been explained when I requested yesterday I would not have continued to ask. Thank you for clarification CJ. I still believe using the camera early is a way forward. Praying EMMI can be caught safe soon

- I believe the Thermal Imaging camera WILL be of great help at this present moment and cannot understand its thought not to be of use in this case. Time is of the essence I believe. Here is the comment made re Thermal Camera by Doglost and it clearly states that if dog is sighted the camera can be requested. I understand it will be used by Doglost Co-Ordinator so it would be used by someone who has knowledge of how to search for a scared missing dog.

Update on Thermal Camera
First of all many thanks to Linda Edmonds for her great effort in raising the money for Doglost Essex and the purchase of a thermal camera. (gofundme.com - RainbowWish)
Such an expensive asset to doglost is fantastic and we aim to make sure it is put to good use and protected by insuring it for our named coordinators.
Anyone who has a potential area where a missing dog has been sighted and wishes a night check to be made please contact your local doglost coordinator or admin.

- Sorry but the camera is already in use in Colchester till at least Wednesday of next week. Spoken to owners who are being fantastic and doing all the correct things.
They thank everyone for their interest and offers but have now got within touching distance so its a case of softly softly slow approach to build up her confidence using small pieces on food.
Owners have asked at the moment to not search this area- also that if sighted DO NOT FEED as setting up a feeding station at home and will drag scent to this place if needed. - 2017-04-02 16:40 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Sorry, I need to clarify - are the details we have the owner's or a helper? Thanks.

- What this dog needs is a feeding station and water at any safe, previously sighted location. Do NOT chase, let the dog come to you once it has calmed down. It will run all over at first but will then settle down into a route. Thermal imaging is not required at this point, if at all. Do's often know if they are being followed and get more stressed. Especially salukis who can see you miles away and smell you just as far. Right now we need to allow and wait for the dog to become calm and watch the feeding station. Allow the dog to feed unhindered once she's found it. She will then come back again. Slowly, slowly catches the monkey. Also due the area where lost, and the type of dog this is, you will need to keep a lot of details off from public view. Hazebella is out on a mission at the moment, but she will contact owners as soon as she can for advice. Dogs Trust need to be aware because its not far from the Home and she will hear and smell the home from a long way
off and may return to the vicinity. Can we have owner's details please into Admin. Has Sarah Dog Warden been contacted - she can advise and will assist you. She works alongside DogLost, Dogs Trust & Essex police. Come on Emmi - stay safe. x - 2017-04-02 14:58 thecookeryangel
- Hi Jayne. Is it possible for Doglost Co-ordinator to use Thermal Camera please to assist in search and rescue mission of EMMI? It is similar to how Sven the terrified Bosnian went missing and the Thermal Imaging Camera helped locate and track him when he was hiding in sighted area. He was caught safely by his foster Mum the next day. The Thermal Imaging camera can be used in daylight as well as night time. Please can Thermal Camera be used on EMMI's search?
