Ozzy was found some 30 miles away in Frome , Somerset and we believe made 'too hot to handle'!
His owners were quick to follow advice and register with us on Doglost, contacted the warden , police and post on social media.
News of a dog found came in within hours found in Frome and was quickly checked and confirmed to be Ozzy.
I can't thank the lady (Linda) that contacted me initially to alert me to him being missing enough , the Sherborne community for searching and to everyone sharing via numerous groups onsocial media.
The biggest thanks to the lady that made contact through Dorset Dog Rescue whose son had found him so far away and the connection was made .......... fabulous result !
Most of all welcome home Ozzy! Having spoken to his owner this evening he's tired but otherwise fine. If only he could tell us more xx

Awaiting confirmation that Ozzy is home safe. Details we have so far is that he was found wandering miles from home, and that there is no doubt that he couldn't gave got so far under his in steam. Will update when we know more

Ozzy has gone missing from a secure high fenced garden thought not to have any escape routes. A thorough search of the house and garden have been made and there are concerns he may have been taken.
As such and as advised please contact the police and ask for a crime reference number and let us know what it us so we can upgrade his missing status to stolen.
Microchip company have already been flagged. Please ensure the warden and all local vets are informed too
