simonh - wilmas life may not have been saved by doglost.co.uk but there are many dogs that appear on this site that have been found and thanks entirely to their appearance on doglost.co.uk they have found a new life - i have one of them, and i personally got involved with 2 others which resulted in them getting a home. none of them had been anywhere near a pound

She was always called Wilma! it's on her chip!
SimonH
NickyB - Her rescue space has nothing to do with dogslost - the pound will have pound pullers who post these stray dogs as soon as they get details of them to try and ensure they get them rescue space after they've served their 7 days. It's a well established system that saves the majority of these dogs lives.

this dog is now called Wilma and has been taken in by an incredible sanctuary in Cornwall called lastchancehotel.org. dont know how they got to know about her - but probably through seeing her plight on doglost.co.uk - which not only reunites pets but like in Wilmas case finds her a safe haven. bless all the lovely people at doglost and sanctuaries like lastchancehotel

bdurrant - sadly on doglost.co.uk site you will see dozens and dozens and dozens of found dogs that are chipped - but either the current owner hasnt updated the information, and in some cases the dog is chipped and there isnt a record anywhere of who chipped the dog............ i do wish all dog owners would have an old fashioned easy to read identity tag on the dogs collar - finder can then reunite dog immediately. stolen dogs of course would have id tag removed, but most dogs are not stolen - just lost - or in many cases abandoned

I have donated for this poor little girl. Hope to hear how she is getting on. Well done to all who helped. x

I can't understand why RSPCA aren't involved. Has owner been found?

Bdurrant chip might not be registered or wrong numbers. She's safe which is the main thing.

If she is chipped, they will know who the owner is?I'm still astonished every time a mistreated case comes in why no neighbour or friend sees this dog in that state and report it?
It is just so heartbreaking how many vile so called humans are around

This is heartbreaking :(

Chipped as Wilma female approx 6/7 yrs old. Such a sad sight this poor girl is underweight, has sore and bleeding skin from untreated skin condition and various big skin tags. Also poss been used as a bait dog ? On treatment for eyes and skin but will need on going care. Despite being treated so badly she has a fantastic temperament and loves everyone! She is very gentle and soft natured! Someone please help this poor baby.
