Owl, the river flows in an anti-clockwise direction around the south and east of Olney. Note, the church actually adjoins the old mill leat: from memory (long time ago!) there is a sluice gate (south east of the church)controlling the flow back into the main river. Has the island between the leat and main river been searched?

Thank you everyone for your kind words and help with looking for kevin. We sadly didnt find kevin today but as he wasnt found in the river there is still hope he is around. We have put posters up in Olney and surrounding villages and spoke with some lovely people who had heard about kevin and had been spreading the word. Thank you so so much everyone you are all great.

Divers have been out but have so far found nothing. Family and friends are now busy postering and advising farmers of Kevin being missing. River authority to be made aware of disappearance on Tues as bank holiday. I have advised that the river is checked on a daily basis if possible. My personal thanks to all those who came out and helped search for him today along with the two divers.

I am bumping Kevin's page on account of search party set up for tomorrow. Still open to more helpers if anybody is available ! We've had some wonderful offers of help and even people have offered to search by diving under the river in the hope of trying to find Kevin. My grateful thanks and also of Sarah's as well.

Hi Sarah sorry no haven't been down there just know a bit of that area. The weir I believe does have a grating and just looking at all possibilities. Are there are folk in the area that would be willing to help with a search party along the waters edge this weekend on Sat as Sarah is hoping to put up more posters that would be able to join Sarah? If so please can you let us know on here and Sarah will meet you at Olney Church from 1030 am and her parents will be meeting up with her at 1130 to help with the search. Sarah is happy for me to put her fone number out on here if you wish to help and need to Fone her, 07541868281. A similar message is going to be put out on fb asking for help. I have advised Sarah to speak to Thames Water, who I think is the water authority to find an officer who is responsible for this stretch if water to at least make them aware of missing Kevin. Thank you.

I keep looking to see this lad reunited, I do hope and pray he`s been picked up by someone who doesn`t realise he should be handed over to the warden or contact the owner. Fingers crossed there will be some good news soon. I`m not sure where this part of the water is ... anywhere near canals etc? I spoke to someone at Berkhamstead on a canal boat a couple of weeks ago who said there was an upcoming festival ... perhaps canal boat owners can keep a look out?

Please keep going back to where last seen entering the water. Very sadly if he has drowned it could take a few weeks for him to be found in that stretch of water. You could talk to the water authority who are responsible for this particular stretch of water and make them aware of Kevin being missing. Speak to OlneyParish Council clerk he will possibly know who is the best person to contact. Also I'm sure they have a website where you can ask people to keep an eye out for Kevin.
