Biscuit has now been found. he was coaxed by a lady who lives by the cemetery for four days. finally boxed and taken to medivet as a stray. and after confirmation , they contacted us last night :)

thank you for your interesting remarks, I have a feeling due to the traffic and lack of easy access, apart from across the road that Biscuit would make a dash from shear panic. across the road is a gateway to the bins at the back of two row of houses ( back gardens) and they could be a slim change of him getting in there. it is overgrown and full of junk and really needs to be cleared in order to do the job properly.

Indoor cats dont usually go too far, especially as neutered, as Biscuit is. On avergae they go about 2/5 houses y, and normally hide. Have you checked behind hedges/bushes? Cats can go without food for quite a quite a while. They tend to find something to lick so they dont become
dehydrated. It is possible that someone is feeding Biscuit, thinking he is a stray. I would knock on a few doors too. Hope Biscuit is home very soon. Paws xd

Hi Janie jewel, many thanks for your advice. I did make up a slurry from his litter box and sprayed around the front (pathway) front door. Though really I don't want to encourage him to cross a very busy road! Our front is straight out in the street! We have dropped a lot of leaflets around our area and will be putting up posters in the next day or two ( as we only have two weeks permission by the council) I'm hoping he is quite hungry now and starting to approach houses and people. I'm not sure wether he would move on further away?

Indoor cats can feel very nervous, and panicky when outside their comfort zone. He may have found refuge in someones garden ,someone may be feeding him, thinking he is a stray. Presume all outbuildings were checked? If possible ( Presume you are not on ground level, so wipe his scent below the window where he escaped from. Then may be hire a cat trap from a rescue centre, and place scented items of his with some tasty treats too. The best time to look for him is when it is dark, and quiet. Take a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention, and gently call his name. Dont forget to take a torch, as the light should reflect the cats eyes. And dont forget those dreamies. = Poster in the area, and put flyers though doors too. Paws xd.
