- its a shame no one got back to me as I have a scanner and would have gone out to scan the dog for a chip.

- So so sad that this has happened. I wish people would learn that in the countryside dogs should be kept on a lead especially when near animals in a field. My heart breaks for the poor dog who knew no better.

- Me too Mel. This is heartbreaking for the dog, the Farmer, and the sheep. When walking dogs people should try and avoid passing fields/farm with animals in if they can, unless on a tight lead; common sense. I used to walk a collie for someone, and made sure to avoid the fields where farm aninals were kept even though I kept her on a tight lead. I understand too that sheep can abort if they are scared by dogs? So very sadLast edited: 2017-04-30 13:37:04

- Horrible for both animals - farmers have such a tough time making a living.

- I hope the dog's owner sees this posting if they weren't there at the time of the shooting because it could be lost and yes, it does look like a bc. What a shame
