- Thank you Sharon, I have taken a look at the photo and unfortunately it isn't Dexter as his tail doesn't curl round.
I really appreciate everybody taking the time to post on here. It's really heartwarming that people still care xx

- Hi sharon
I think this has already been checked with Cindy as this one was found in May 2018. Although very similar to Dexter I think this one is more black than Dexter who is more dark brown. But i’ll Let Cindy check first and then confirm x - 2018-09-27 17:19 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer

- Further to my comment below ... I've just sent a photo of Dexter to my daughter and she's insisting it isn't the dog we saw (I'm not so sure, but she does have a better memory). She thinks he might have been walking behind someone a few feet in front ... but she too wished we could've stopped to be sure. :-( I hope you find him. x

- Hi, My daughter and I saw a dog very much like Dexter walking along Sanderstead Road in South Croydon yesterday morning. He was heading in the opposite direction to us, so away from Croydon centre. We were moving in traffic at the time and I was so upset because we couldn't stop to pick him up. We don't know Croydon well & had no idea how to turn around without causing traffic chaos (if you know Croydon, you'll understand), but I couldn't get him off my mind all day & was frustrated that I couldn't get ANY single to post it on FB straight away. We looked out for him on our return, but a few hours had passed & the stupid Sat Nav took us in a different direction home! It was hard to age him, I'd say around 7-10 and he was walking along at a normal pace; his fur was dark grey & overgrown, dirty & a bit tatty (not sure it was long enough to be a years growth). My heart literately hurt not being able to stop, it was hot yesterday too. He could have been with someone, but it didn't look like anyone was taking any notice of him. I hope this isn't too distressing to think about, but it might give you hope.

- Someone pointed out after seeing his picture on the Advent calendar, that he was described as a Affenpinscher, but on the original post with Lola ( 114452, who he went missing with, who has since been reunited), he was described as a terrier cross. I think that due to his appearance, he does look more terrier like & if people were searching & trying to match dogs, then he would be missed, as they wouldn't compare a found terrier to an Affenpinscher. I have changed the breed description & left message for owner with what I have done.

- The owner Cindy was contacted late afternoon yesterday that there may have been a sighting of Dexter.
A dog matching Dexters description ran passed a dog walker without an owner so the walker followed him but unfortunately lost sight of him. This was near to the top car park at Puttenham Common.
So if any of you are over that way please keep your eyes peeled. Thanks x - 2017-05-19 15:25 Phoebesmum

- Sorry to see that DEXTER STILL MISSING is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (114455)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
