- Absolutely wonmderful news. So pleased for her owner. I think another cat on this site was found locked in a cellar too. Was okay
Cats are so curious. Luckily they can survive with out food for quite a while; good job. One stowaway cat lasted for three weeks without food , and made a full recovery I think they lick at things to stop them becoming dehydrated.
No wonder they have "Nine lives" Stay cloe now Penny:-)xxx - 2017-06-17 09:24 fran
- FOUND! Heard meowing by neighbour from her cellar. She can't have been there the whole 6 weeks so will never know the whole story but she is safe back home. Will take her to the vet to check her out. Thin but happy. Thanks all! x

- Early days yet. And good that she is neutered. Check sheds, garages, greenhouses, empty houses, and cellars in case locked in Put some tuna or chicken in her dish, and call her; night/earl;y morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put her UNWASHED blanket/bedding into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too, anything leding up to the garden. Walk around the area hoding an object with Penny`s scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Someone may be feeding her (Common problem) Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Do this wjhen darkness starts to fall, as you may hear her respond. One of the reaons why a cat might go missing is if there is a more dominat cat in the area, they will sometimes chase a cat out of it`s own territory. However they usually come back in a day or two. If there is a dominat cat in the area, and it may have been bullying Penny (She looks a timid cat) then try a water pistol on the dominant cat, which should deter the dominant cat. It wond harm them. Poster in the area, and put flyers through doors too Paws xd.
When checking outbuildings make sure she isn`t hiding behind an object within. Cats are excellent at keeping very still and quiet in certain circumstances such as these; especially if timid - 2017-05-08 15:09 Justine
