- Thanks NickyB for the info. I also believe that Staffies are overbred for whatever reason, I have also heard that some dog owners actually ask a Rescue Centre if they can exchange their older dog for a puppy? Unbelievable!Last edited: 2017-05-18 18:31:04

- after 30 years of dog rescue there are a thousand and one reasons dogs are abandoned - one is owner hasnt the time patience intelligence or inclination to bother trying to find a home, and wants rid immediately. this dog looks like a staffie - and if doglost is anything to go by every single day one third of found dogs are staffies, and on the reunited page one or two. kennels - council or rescues - are overwhelmed by staffies.sadly another main reason (guessing) for abandonment in our experience its no long a puppy, have no time for it, dog gets bored/destructive/aggressive etc etc as i said a thousand and one reasons

- This dog was on Central news tonight.6.30pm Central said it looke as though the dog had been abandoned in a place whte it might not be found. Hopoefully someone will recognize the dog from the TV coverage. LindaT I too thought maybe the dog has been stolen, and perhaps made "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" as you say a caring owner would not do sch a thing I know we have issues with the RSPCA but it is said that there are only about 300 Inspectors in the Uk (Short staffed)Last edited: 2017-05-17 21:02:04

- Can`t imagine a caring owner would dump a dog in such a place, possibly stolen? Anyway, better out of the weather and with access to food and water, let`s hope the RSPCA do the right thing by this little dog.

- We all have different opinions on the Rspca mine is not a good one but better off out of the weather and off broken glass.

- How can being tied up, abandoned, left lying on broken glass, no food or water, possibly be preferable to being in the care of the RSPCA.

- May not be better for the dog if the RSPCA have it

- You couldn`t make this up could you? Pleased RSPCA involved, and the person is caught who abandoned this poor dog. Simply no excuse. At least the dog is safe now. Seem odd though that a dog like this in good condition. So why would the caring owner abandon him?
