I am assuming he is a Housecat? He is most probably hiding close by, and will be feeling very panicky, and nervy. Check all outbuildings and make sure he isn`t hiding behind an object within. Cats are very good at keeping very still, and quiet in these cirsumstances, especially timid cats. They are renowned for it Put his uwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Empty contets of the vacuum onto the garden; contents of his litter tray too. The door where he has access to open wide, and stand at the side (Dont block the entrance) Wipe his scent all over the door, and put some tuna or chicken in his dish. Place the food about three times the width of the door. If you see him approach, dont try to grab him or he may run off even though you are the owner. Indoor cats feel much more secure when they are in their comfort zone, which is indors with people they trust: their owners. Put flyers through doors too. Paws xd.
