From owner "Absolutely AMAZING news that Lolly has been found!!! Just wandered up to some nice people like nothing had ever happened. She doesn't seem too worse for wear, and was very happy to see us! I made a bit of a soap opera of it all in the car park at the reunion and probably looked like a madwoman, but who cares eh? Here she is with Mum, Kym and little Ashley who are just two of the selfless Facebook lovelies who devoted their precious spare time in helping look for Lol Lol. What a bloody marvellous day. Now I can sleep. Hurrah! Thank you to everyone who shared the post - the people that found her recognised her from Facebook so it was not in vein."

Big thank you to "egizzy" for helping owners search. Janet and I spent a couple of hours at Abbots Wood this morning. We both know Abbots Wood really well so tried to focus on less walked /quieter paths and predominantly on the section between the car park and Arlington Stadium to the left of the lake as you look at it Which was very dense in places. We also walked back via the lake and tried to check out the fenced section to the right of the lake, which again is very dense. Heartbreaking to see Lollies bed back at the car park I just don't know what to suggest with no sightings. Hope you had more luck at Butchershole. X

Just returned from Butchers Hole and still nothing sadly, plenty of people looking still so here is hoping good news soon
egizzy
I returned to Abbots today and my girl really ran the woods today, disturbed heard saw or found nothing, sadly others who were leaving as I arrived and said the same nothing. so may try Butchers Hole tomorrow if no further sightings or info. Please hope she is seen or found soon Last edited: 2017-05-20 14:25:29 by egizzy

I've made a report at BDCH fro Lolly, although it is a bit of a distance. Good luck with your search Sophie and Jane, fingers crossed.
valpark
If she feels threatened (because she may be caught up) she may perhaps go very quiet and hide. .She may be hiding under a bush to stay safe.I do hope you find her soon.. it is so upsetting.
Hollieberry
I hope you find Lolly soon its such a worry when they lost on a lead specially a long one .

I'm really sorry I've not been able to get over to Abbots Wood today....unfortunately it's not on my doorstep and I've just not had a spare couple of hours:-( I guess if Lolly lives on the harbour then if the Butchershole sighting was her she technically is heading in the homeward direction, I'm just surprised that no-one saw her as she would have had to cross the A27 and then make her way across the downs? It does seem a coincidence that the lady with the possible Butchershole sighting saw a dog very similar, wearing a harness. I'm afraid that I'm up at Windsor all day tomorrow but if Lolly is not found by Sunday, I'll try to venture over to Abbots Wood or Butchershole. I would heavily poster both Abbots Wood, Butchershole and the areas in between. Really well done for all you're doing.

I have shared with DL FB Page, Twitter & Public. I hope Lolly is safely back at home soon. X

Spent a couple of hours off path in the woods with my girl, heard and saw nothing sadly. As already said people are out looking. Will try and return tomorrow as my girl runs the woods and would alert if she found anything strange (not the norm) Had one false alert at a strange tree but nothing found. Have shared on All things dog East Sussex and locally. fingers crossed

Unfortunately our Dog Lost Area Co Ordinator is away at the moment, but you are doing all the right things.
Bedding has been left, although it may be worth leaving something with familiar scent on it at the spot where she went missing from also.
You can never have enough posters up, so everywhere local.
there are a lot of lovely people looking out for Lolly, Hope there is some good news very soon.
Ella
It was me who text to say about the noises by Abbots Lake. It could have been cows in the distance from the farm in Arlington, but it also could have been deep dog vocals/howling. Didn't want to ignore the fact I heard it, especially as after I called for Lolly I couldn't hear it anymore. It was around the area you're in if you crossed the bridge over the lake from the main concrete path side, and turned left onto a wide muddy track. If she is stuck with her longline on, it'll be somewhere well off the track that it's got caught on surely, many bushes are going to have to be checked I reckon...
Sophie
Oh and Skywalker99 - I filled in the K9 online form last night :-) Thanks.
Sophie
Lolly lives at Eastbourne Harbour, so she's a bit of a distance away. Someone thought they might have seen her at Friston (Butchershole car park) and the dog ran up and over the gallops; also someone heard noises near the lake at Abbots (where she went missing) so Mum went over there earlier today. I'm just at the library printing off posters and will head to Abbots myself!
Mary
Sophie - How far is Lolly from home, could she try and make her way back there?
Skywalker99
Sophie, I know Jenny is very busy but she will help if she can so try contacting www.k9tracker.co.uk
egizzy
Will head up to Abbotts this morning with my girl Misty and have good walk around, any idea in which direction she might head? area she lives?
Sophie
Thanks Zoe. She ran off near the lake, and that's the last place she was seen by Mum. Not sure of direction, will check and let you know. I'm heading there now from London xx

So sorry to see that Lolly is missing....will follow her thread closely as may be able to get over there a bit later this afternoon. Friston is not a million miles from Abbots Wood but still a little way to travel. Whereabouts in Abbots Wood was she last seen and do you know which direction she went in? I walk in Abbots Wood so am quite familiar with that area. Really hope Lolly turns up safe and well. XxLast edited: 2017-05-19 07:43:42 by Zoe - Area Volunteer - East Sussex
Sophie
Oh thank you Ella, just seen your post. I found a dog on here that went missing from Abbots Wood in 2015 who looked very much like Lolly. It took a few days but they eventually found him, he'd really travelled though. Wish we could track them with their microchip!
Sophie
Update - a lady thinks she may have seen Lolly in Friston Forest, near the Butchershole car park, yesterday lunchtime. Not impossible I suppose? Heading there in a couple of hours before the meet up at Abbots Wood.
Ella
I'll be there in about an hour's time. Will most likely park in a different entrance to the main car park and walk towards the lake from another angle. I lost my dog in there last year, I know exactly what you're going through! All the locals are so helpful so don't be scared to ask anyone you come across, people may not acknowledge and think a dog on its own is properly lost until someone tells them they're looking for it...
Sophie
Thank you everyone. So glad it's stopped raining now, poor Lolly out all night in this awful weather. Mum left her bed and a t shirt in the car park last night (in the doorway of the toilets so sheltered) and is back there very soon to check. Thank you for tweeting as I don't have a twitter account, but will set one up if need be! And yes driving down from London this morning to help look and got a little group meeting at 11 in the car park. Mum and some friends searched all day yesterday to no avail, but today is a new day and I'm keeping everything crossed. Thank you.
TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
Just seen on fb that owner is organising a search party tomorrow morning

" Got a little search party gang together, meeting around 11am in Abbots Wood car park tomorrow. My number is 07939 266463 if you happen to be passing! Thank you all again, so so much xx "
TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
Sorry to hear that Lolly is missing, She is listed on Brighton Doglost fb page & has had shares on fb. Please ensure that the microchip company have been alerted that she is missing and please check with them that the contact details are up to date. Please inform Dog warden & all local vets.
Please leave an item of owners clothing /blanket with her scent on at the spot where she disappeared from, she may make her way back and an item of familiar scent may help to keep her there.check this spot regularly in case she does return.
Hoping that she hasn't got caught up by her lead, but this is possible, please poster the car park so that people are aware that she is missing and that she has the training line attached, hoping that they will look out for her whilst walking in the woods.
So hope that you find her safe and well very soon.Last edited: 2017-05-18 22:04:55 by TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
