"Best news of the year...Ernie has been found safe and sound and is now home with his mum and dad. He was spotted in Morningside in Earlsdon and the lovely lady had been feeding him to tempt him to come closer so she could take some photos. Hubby popped down today to look at them and it looked like Ernie. Hubby set the trap (thanks to Andrea Aitken) and he was caught just a couple of hours later. His paw seems to have healed and he doesn't even seem to have lost weight. Ernie is presenting as very scared, which is understandable but we're sure that he will be back to normal in a couple of days. Thank you so very much for all of your support and shares of his posts. Welcome home Ernie." - 2017-05-24 18:49 Captain

- Hi, sorry to hear Ernie has gone missing....long shot, but during a school trip on a canal boat, some kids said they saw a ginger cat....it was in the section of the canal between Swan Lane Wharf and Hawkesbury Junction...I know it's a long stretch, but it may be worth walking the section calling him...just in case....they can travel long distances....Hope you find him soon!xx

- Cats that escape in this way will usually find refuge in someones garden, and may hide in a shed/garage. Ask people to check their outbuildings. I would poster around that area, and put flyers through doors too. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL
