Steve Colman it may be total coincidence but was out on bike this afternoon riding through that area towards blackmore via Doddinghurst/stondon massey and past the same two fellas twice about an hour apart walking two dogs along the lanes one very similar to the shepherd in picture (I used to keep them so tend to take notice) and another darker tan dog possibly retriever/lab cross, they seemed just to be walking in the middle of nowhere no pavements just in the road suppose mid thirties one of heavier build with a light maybe white shirt, one medium build horizontal 4/5 thick barred polo shirt (kind of Juventus colour maybe dark green and dark red ) just odd if you live in the country part you'd know the walks and probably wouldn't use the roads over such a long distance, hope your dog is found safe and well
