- Just logged in for the first time since this happened! Thank you JanieJewel for your advice and everyone else for their help as well - turns out what Janie said was true! The idiot was stuck under a neighbours shed and couldn't get out, but also didn't meow when his name was called out. Stubborn as always! Thanks again guys!

- When checking outbuildings also check empty houses, and cellars too in case shut in. Check behind hedges/bushes in case unwell or injured. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle somne treats too. Put his uinwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Empty contents of the vacuum onto the garden as his scent will be there, Wiope his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading upo to the garden. Walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Someone may be feeding him. (Common problem) Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. If looking for him when darkness falls take with you a torch, as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and put flyers through doors too. Paws xd.
