Fantastic news well done everyone!

I am pleased to say May was caught over night by a trap.
After the recent sightings loca Many Tears fosterers and helper as well as one very kind local lady - Marsha helped poster/search and scent. Mays old kennel maid came immediatley to the area too and stayed over night walking and scenting the area with another Beagle.
Then yesterday Marsha caught sight of her eating the specific food she had left out. The local team then went to collect a trap I organised from my personal friends (thank you kindly Reynard and Lilybear)and she was then caught overnight on Marsha's land. We are very greatful for her help and also of her neighbours who reported the sightings to her. May really couldn't have stopped in a better place!
Sammie
Due to these sightings being reported May (previously known as Penny) old kennel main is travelling to the area this evening to help with the search.

Due to possible sightings on Bath Dog Community page:"STRAY BEAGLE
I keep having reports of a beagle roaming around the St Catherines area between the A46 and northend. It has mostly been seen at my neighbours farm although I've not seen it yet myself. Can't get close to it but it's been seen 5 times in the last week by three different people who have contacted me. "

I spent yesterday working in and some miles in a circle around the area searching and speaking to people. There has not been a single sighting, roads and railways are eliminated as far as we can know. Please could you spread the word if only there could be a sighting....
Toby and Billy
So sorry to see May is still missing, I'm willing this girl to come back to you soon, the Microchip is always a plus. Much love.
Gayna123
Oh crumbs, that's a better area but still no sightings for a clue in which direction she maybe! We feel so useless xxxxx
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Gayna123 - not 40 maybe 12, a Ridgeback could be 40 miles away!
Gayna123
Thank you, yes we hope she's home soon but have been told she could be up to forty miles away!! No sightings at all, just don't understand it xxxxxx

I'm on the lookout in Weston, just south of the racecourse...I work in the insurance place opp Lidl and alerted colleagues a couple of days ago. Hoping for good news soon.
Gayna123
Thank you, still nothing not even a sighting!! Just don't no where to start, so just doing big loops around the area from and back to the house, everyone has been lovely 😊 xxxxx

Oh good. Jenny helped me when my trailhound went AWOL at a canicross event miles from home and surrounded by main roads and a railway line. I do so hope you get her back safely.
Gayna123
Hi Kate , yes she has been advising me over the last couple of days, thank you 😊 xxxxxxxxx
Sarah Layzell
Hi Gayna, I can see someone kindly posted Jenny Brown's website address: do you know about the work that she and Tiga do tracking missing dogs? She has a fantastic success rate, especially with very nervous dogs that are hard to approach. I'm sure she'd be helpful even if she's not able to come over in person at the moment. I'll be thinking of you

Thank you, yes rail network have been informed xxx
Sammie
The news report says there are posts on fb - could the fosterer put the link on here to where those posts are? We can then cross post them to Doglost FB pages.
I presume network rail have been contacted as there seems to be a train line through this village?

Sorry to see that May is missing and I have contacted her owner.Last edited: 2017-05-31 11:27:10 by Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex

Please do not discount any found dogs because the finder says they are not chipped or because they may look different in a photo... visit the dog in person before discounting. Just saying after reading comments on a Facebook post. Hope she is found soon xx
