my romanian dog lost day 1 here, found 3 weeks later in manchester dogs home where she had been FOR 11 DAYS............. apparently they were too scared to scan her as she was so so scared.......... PLS DO CHECK RESCUES FOR MILES AROUND IN CASE LUNA IS IN ONE OF THEM
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Luna's family are hugely grateful to everyone who came out to search, several searchers reported glimpses of what looked like Luna in the fields so seeming hopeful that she is still in area x
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
There is a search party organised for Monday 7:30pm to meet at Grange Farm, The Slade x

Have tweeted for Luna again x
Lin Iddon
The area is constantly being searched in case she is trapped somewhere. Its now been a week since the last sighting - so she has either moved on (owner is postering surrounding villages to spread the word), she is trapped somewhere, she has succumbed to the heat, or someone has picked her up and not reported the fact. Luna is a rescue dog from the Dogs Trust at Evesham, owned only 3 weeks, she was a stray from Ireland so probably used to fending for herself. There is still a lot of effort going on to try to find her. Please keep sharing her poster xx
Hollieberry
Poor Luna are people checking the area still to see if she is trapped somewhere ?
Georgy Porgy
Should comment in title re not leaving out food be removed now her whereabouts unknown? Do hope she is spotted soon
Lin Iddon
no further sighting unfortunately.... just bumping on Facebook. Its been a week now since last sighting. The concern is that she has either moved on or is caught somewhere

Copied from Luna's group x "Just a quick post to say firstly a big thank you to the community who are doing a great job of supporting Luna's family & doing all they can. I wanted to explain that Lin is working hard with Matthew & Kate to get into a position where Luna can be safely caught & there are several things that local people can help with please!

Luna is VERY nervous, she went very quickly into survival mode & we have therefore been hindered by lack of sightings. Sightings are crucial to track her movements so please report them asap & be sure to give exact location. Also if you have a printer please do help by putting posters up anywhere you see there isnt one, if you dont have a printer then please just tell EVERYONE you see or speak to about Luna!

We need to establish Luna's route so we can encourage her to visit a feeding station, this is a quiet area where no-one should go that Luna will be confident to return to regularly. Once we have been able to establish this then we will be able to ask professional trapper Ray to take over, this is because Luna is so nervous we cannot afford to make any mistakes once we get to this point.

Another important thing is that once we have established a feeding station where Luna is regularly visiting, once Ray introduces his trap, she will notice that something is different, if she is hungry then this hopefully will override this, however if she knows there is food elsewhere, she will just go there for it so please dont leave food out for her as this will jeopardise her safe capture. Please dont worry, she will find food to eat & drag trails have been laid to the feeding station to help her find it

It is also really important that Luna is not frightened at any time whilst she is in the area, it has already taken a long time to get to this point due to Luna keeping herself well under cover, if she is spooked or scared & runs she may well leave the area, then we have to find her again & start right back from scratch with the added hinderance that Luna would then be even more nervous. So hard as it is to resist the temptation, if you see Luna, please do not chase her or try to catch her.

So to summarise, what we are asking for from those in the area please:

+Please report EXACT location and timing of any sightings
+Please help spread the word, put up POSTERS & tell anyone & everyone who will listen about her
+Please DO NOT CHASE or try to catch her
+Please Do not leave food out for her"

Luna has been sighted again today, back near to where she went missing x
Georgy Porgy
Wow she's covering some area! Hope she's caught soon
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Sighted this morning in fields outside Fenny Compton (CV47) which is back towards the way she came. Please do help spread the word as sightings are essential to us being able to establish her route & she is not being seen often so it is essential that when she does show herself she is recognised & people know to contact her owners, additional alerts sent to CV47 x
Lin Iddon
Cherwell Council notified, also emailed Warwickshire Hunt secretary asking her to distribute amongst members and supporters - it's a very rural area
DogLostLisaP
Luna is limping, her owners are in the area now so if sighted please call them asap, if possible please keep her in sight until they can get to you x
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Positive sighting this morning, 6:30 in Farnborough, OX17 heading towards village hall, definitely Luna as she still has harness on, extra alerts sent to OX17. Please remember, if you see Luna, do not chase her, please call numbers on poster x
Georgy Porgy
Going to Daventry tomorrow will keep my eyes peeled.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
If people think they see Luna please if possible take a photo & remember to report the exact location so far as possible, this will help immensely in the search for her x
Unknown
Stay safe Luna until you are found. Paws xd.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
There have been possible sightings reported around Southam & heading towards Daventry, given the sighted dog was nervous & there have been no new sightings in the original area, it is thought likely this was Luna, additional alerts sent to helpers in CV23, CV33, NN11 x
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Miss Alice has been working with Luna's owners to establish a feeding station with a view to introducing a trap, as Luna is a very nervous dog we have asked for help from Ray once the feeding station is established. If anyone sights Luna, please do call the numbers on poster asap with exact location as this really helps to track her movements. Please do not try to catch Luna, she will run & it is important that she stays in the area x
Lin Iddon
another sighting today very close to where Luna went missing from! Farmer's daughter saw her but she ran off. Owners have been back tonight, set up bbq but sadly nothing. Tasty food left and he will go back tomorrow morning.
Lin Iddon
Met with owner this morning at place Luna disappeared from. It is a very rural arable area.... we were informed by farmers's son that Luna was spotted in surrounding fields on Friday!!!! so it looks like she is staying n the area. There are several barns on the land where she could be hiding out but what we need is an up to date sighting so were know where to concentrate the search. More posters were put up on footpaths/bridleways, local villages. please continue to share her poster x As yet the sighting in Southam has yet to be ruled out as there are no further sightings of this dog.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Possible sighting yesterday being checked out "Black and white collie type dog loose. Was on Banbury Road headed up Brownsbridge Road. Seem nervous of people approaching" x
Lin Iddon
Luna still missing..... Owners set up bbq last night but sadly no luck. No further sightings since 1.30am Thursday just up the road from where she went missing. Thank god she seems to still be in the area. Food, clothing, dog bedding left close by every night since Luna disappeared. Food eaten but could very easily be a fox... people are continuing to share her on FB which is great. Posters are up locally. Very close by is Avon Dassett Country Park, a very popular place for dog walkers and is likely to be busy this weekend. I have a friend coming over, hopefully today, with a super duper camera that she uses for wolf spotting in Yellowstone. She helped me last year to find a whippet that was on the loose for a few days in fields locally. Fingers crossed x

just spoken to one of the owner. Luna still missing. She is a rescue dog, only owned 3 weeks and does not know the area. It seems she is staying in the area at the moment and owner aware it is important to keep her there. They will be setting up BBQ this evening in the hope this draws her out. Have stressed importance of posters. Local vets aware but I will email DL poster to them.
Lin Iddon
Warwickshire Hunt aware. Have asked for poster to be circulated to members
