- It sounds as though she has been locked in somewhere. I expect she will be very hungry now if that is the case. I do know cats can survive without food for quite a while; good job Last edited: 2017-06-05 07:57:51

- She came home about 1.00pm today when the friend who was checking while we were away was here. She caught her and locked her in the house. We are now home and she is having scuddles (cross between a scold and a cuddle). Seems fine if a little skinnier and her coat doesn't feel as soft as usual. She will be reunited with her brother when I pick him up from cat prison tomorrow.

- Still missing, the. Croydon cat killer killed a cat belonging to some friends of ours who live next to nonsuch park about a month ago so I am a bit worried.

- So...I have postered the central section of Dalmeny Road and the bottom parts of Oaks and Kingsmead avenues (A24 side of Dalmeny road). Also knocked on doors and/or posted flyers to all houses on central section of Dalmeny Road and first 8 houses each side on Oaks and Kingsmead. Bit concerned that 134 oaks is a building site and the buiolder dint speak much english....but it has been a building site for months so don't think she would suddenly have decided to explore. Dirty sweaty t shirt I wore yesterday is in the garden...along with hoover contents which seem to consist mainly of her and her brothers fur, plus dirty cat litter. My husband has been checking gumtree etc. (we are a bit perplexed as to why there is some cat fur hanging off the corner of the rotary clothes dryer, not sure how it got there but it could have blown).
One neighbour thought they might have seen her yesterday evening but that could easily have been her almost identical brother....he is a bit bigger than her (about 7kg to her 4-5kg) and has a smoother coat.
Nala suffered from Tritrichomonas foetus as a kitten. It can recur and is deeply unpleasant and expensive at the vets (think chronic, uncontrollable diarrhoea which smeels 10 times worse than normal cat sh*T).
I am unable to do much more until Monday now as just not available...any help appreciated.

- When checking outbuildings check empty houses, and cellars too. OPut some tuna or chicken in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put her unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Empty contents of the vacuum onto the garden, as her scent will be there. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Walk around the area, holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Someone may be feeding her (Common problem) When looking for her, take with you a squeaky toy, as it may attract her attention. Also when darkness falls take a torch with you as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and put flyers through doors too. Neutered female cats only have a territory of about 2/4 garden spaces as to where they live on average, so she should be around somewhere.
Ps Another reason why a cat may go awol is if there is a more dominant cat in the area, as they sometimes will chase a cat out of it`s own territory. They usually return after a day or two.I would keep checking those outbuildings, as sometimes they will hide behind an object, and they can keep very still, and quiet, especially if timid, Paws xd.
If someone can borrow something with owners scent on, try putting it near the door where the cat has access to.Last edited: 2017-06-02 11:43:31 - 2017-06-02 09:21 Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
