Hi Admin... As area missing seems to be quite rural, I was wondering if alerts to go out to DY11 DY12 DY13. This should hopefully bring awareness. Thank you.
BorderCol
The breed is so strongly bonded to its human pack that I think only a bitch on heat would tempt him from home. Are there places nearby where an inconsiderate person may have walked a bitch, leaving a trail that he has followed? Or is there a farm within 2-3 miles with a bitch on heat in an outbuilding? He may be camped out there.
Could he have been stolen?
Hope you find him soon.

Bert went missing during the night. My Dad let him out for his bed time wed as normal and he never came back. Yes he is entire x
BorderCol
May we know the circumstances of him going missing? My ridgeback was terrified by an oil delivery tanker and forced his way up and over 7' chain link fencing to run away. However, although we searched high and low, postered etc he was found very close to home but in hiding.
Also, is Bert entire? A bitch on heat was the other thing which lured my boy into escaping. Last edited: 2017-06-25 18:49:07 by BorderCol

The following comment has been posted on Berts f/b group.....!!! HELP PLEASE !!!
My sister and I have been desperately trying to get posters up everywhere to help us find Bert but with it just being the two of with work and children we are not able to get everywhere.
Please please help us by printing off Berts poster. Bert is missed so much by us all and we are heartbroken that we have been unable to find him.
Put it up on lampposts, bus stops, taxi ranks garages, vets, supermarkets anywhere & everywhere.
We do have lots of posters printed that we would also be happy to hand out if people are going walking.
We would be extremely grateful for any help. Thank you xxx.........

Admin
Sorry to see that BERT HELP NEEDED is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (116325)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
