Cats can survive without food for quite while. They tends to lick at things to keep themselves hydrated. Take another look in any outbuildings. A cat on this site aws found after a SECOND look. Is there a dominanbt cat in the area? As sometimes they will chase a ct out of it`s own territory. However they usually return after a few days. When it is very quiet, and is getting darker take a squeaky toy, and gently call her name, so if she is locked in somewhere she should respond as she will recognize your voice.. Ask families if their children have seen a cat matchinhg her description
Children can be very observant. They may have seen someone feeding her. for eg Spayed females usually only have a territory of about 2/3 garden spaces as to where they live. My neighbours cat once went awol for two weeks. After postering he was found not far fromn nhis home being fed by someone else. Just becasuse you cant see your cat, doesn`t necessarily mean they are`nt around. Paws xd

Thanks everyone, for your shares and helpful comments. We're still hopeful that she'll come home soon. My biggest fear is her being trapped in a shed in this awful heat and will dehydrate very quickly. So very worried about her, but your comments help. Many thanks.

When checking outbuildings check empty houses, and cellars too. Put her unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Empty contents of the vacuum onto the garden, as her scent will be there. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, dloors too; anything leading up to the garden. Walk around the area holdingan object with her scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Somoen may be feeding her (Common problem) Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. When searching as darkness falls take with you a strong torch, as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes they will chase a cat (Especially if timid) out of it`s own territory. However they usually return within a few days or less When checking outbuildings make sure she isn`t hiding behind something within the building. Cats can keep very still, and quiet in thse circumnstances: especially shy cats. Hope Mindy is home very soon. Paws xd.
