Eastbound in the direction of Hove Museum. I was walking back towards Portslade and she appeared from nowhere and ran straight past me. I can't remember just how far along New Church Road I was but I'd definitely passed the Museum and she was heading in that direction. I'm wondering if she'd been hiding in someone's front garden and my approach spooked her so she ran away? I did see someone walking on the other side of the road a bit further on, I'd jumped to the wrong conclusion that he was the owner taking a dog for an early morning walk off the lead.

At the time I did make a post in a Brighton Dachshund group that I'd seen a small tan dog run past me in case anyone was aware of someone's dog that might have got loose. I've since deleted the post as I was redirected to this page at midday.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. I hope she's home again soon.Last edited: 2017-06-18 17:16:32 by Ian Churchill

Ian do you remember which way she was heading?

I was walking along New Church Road, near Carlisle Road at around 4am and saw a small Jack Russell sized tan dog charging towards Hove Museum on the north side of the road. She ran straight past me at quite a pace, too quickly for me to do anything about.
Emma
Thanks 😔
