I am zaks owner, but in the past I have had american cockers, they are smaller, have a definite shorter snout, ears are longer, head is domed, I also have not heard of a blue roan in the americans.

Is this anywhere near where ZAK went missing from? (cocker spaniel male IP24). Just wondered if she was stolen for breeding - possibly by the same people that have Zak - also a blue roan cocker? Saffy's owner - would suggest you contact Penink (Zak's owner), especially as she mentions something about a market in her listing today.

English & American Cockers are very similar, the main differance really is that the Americans have much more domed heads & they are smaller than the english cocker

I can have a look for you. The differences are really quite noticeable. An americal cocker is smaller, with a lot more hair, and though I'm not 100% I don't think you get blue roan american cockers.

Rescue who found the american cocker have been on the phone to say it may be a cocker spaniel-sending photos-if any one knows the difference could they take a look when photo arrives?
