- UPDATE //// MOLLY'S SAFE
Earlier this afternoon, Molly bless her entered the trap that had been set just some 15 mins prior.
The woodland where she'd been hiding out backed onto residential gardens. A very kind couple agreed to let us demolish their fence and set up the trap in their garden. And gradually coax Molly from the Woodland into the garden then eventually into the trap. The trap had only been in situ since Thursday and was left as a feed station only. To our surprise Molly came into the garden and the trap over the next few days. We decided last night that lunchtime today would be the day to actually set the trap to close behind her once she stood on the mechanism at the back of the trap.
Kate Malone (Molly's owner travelled down from Scotland through the night and was here. Molly was a bit agitated at first, after a few minutes it was apparent that Molly remembered Kate. Kate got into the trap and Molly was harnessed up for extra safety. Kates fully aware that Molly will time to adjust. Thank you to everyone who helped pop up posters, deliver slips door to door, food donations, and pound the streets during the night with me looking for her. A big thank you to Shelly and Amanda for helping today get the trap set, and clear up the garden as we left.
Her safe place was the woodland up at Southmead hospital. By the helipad!!!! Restricted access didn't help matters, and the woodland was thick and very uneven.
She's safe and Sweet Molly Malone is on route home. Looking extremely well. XLast edited: 2017-08-06 16:52:50 - 2017-07-30 21:54 Sue - Area Volunteer, Avon
- Her location is what's slowing us down. A crane, army of ninjas and a bulldozer would be helpful, but for obvious reasons that's not possible. Plan in motion, about 6 stages to plan, we're on about stage 2. Slowly slowly. She's absolutely fine. She's an outdoorsy type of gal, and a solitary soul. So with her 3 meals a day, and a water source, I think she's ok, whilst we humans worry about her. XLast edited: 2017-07-30 22:54:33 by Sue - Area Volunteer, Avon

- Well done Sue & co, your patience is paying off. Molly and her owners are so lucky to have you on the case. X

- Managed to capture images of Molly on the wildlife cam. She's looking remarkably well. She's in a very remote secluded area. So for now we're keeping her coming back for regular food. Progress. But still a long way to go.

- Confident that Mollys still in the BS9/BS10 area 'somewhere' confirmed sighting on the 6th July means she'd stayed local for 3 weeks. Guessing she's a few safe places by now. Again we are doing more posters and flyers door to door, reaching more people. Unfortunately Bristol city council workers are taking down the posters. I realise it's an offence, but was kinda hoping a they'd turn a blind eye. Not all removed, just one certain area. But flyers reaching many households.

- Had a sighting
Was the 6th July. Morning. A chap was dropping his children at the Redhouse nursery. He says he definitely saw Molly running along Northumbria Drive past Waitrose towards Coldharbour Rd.
Later this day the large scruffy dog matching Molly's description was seen down by Lidils. 2 sightings on the same day. Although this is over a week ago. It's a confirmed sighting of her. And suggests she's been staying within the Southmead /Henleaze and possibly Westbury Park/Redland areas.
I'll get some posters up along Coldharbour Rd tomorrow.Last edited: 2017-08-06 16:53:40 - 2017-07-16 15:24 Sue - Area Volunteer, Avon

- Molly is extremely good at hiding. We may well have walked past the bush she was sheltering in yesterday. She's a solitary soul, and no amount of calling her name will bring her out. She was a street dog for many years. We need to keep sharing her post. Spreading awareness is key. It's gonna take that one person being in the right place at the right time.
We like to believe Molly has remained local. But this could be anywhere really from Henleaze - Brentry.
She's a surviver, Bristol is a safe place compared to the streets in Romania where she grew up.
Keep looking, sharing, she will be sighted at some point and when she is we'll work round the clock to ensure her safety.
We've literally since Friday been out through til Sunday. Kate her owner came to Bristol for the 3 days. Renewed her scent trail. Wildlife cam in situ at key areas. Sadly nothing at all. - 2017-07-06 15:59 Sue - Area Volunteer, Avon
- Possible sighting today 6/7/17 by Lidils Southmead Rd/Penpark Rd.

- Sadly last night Kate Molly's owner received a semmingly genuine call to say they'd managed to coax Molly and she was secure. Kates brother in law went to the address, and residents knew nothing. A cruel hoax. Unfortunately having numbers publicly displayed it's unavoidable. The loons didn't withhold their number, so calls were made, and apologies given.
Kate is coming to Bristol on Friday, bringing with her a homemade scent trail, Inc contents of hoover, bedding, worn clothes, and her urine. Scent trails will be left from locations sighted to where they were staying.
In the meantime, I and others will continue looking, replacing any damaged posters etc. I'm joining owner all weekend, day and night.
Fingers crossed. X - 2017-07-04 09:11 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team

- Went around all the surrounding roads.
I do know that people throw food for the foxes over their fences into Baddocks Wood, on the left as you go through the entrance on Lake Road.
Went there and had a look.
Sue, could I know where the feeding station is as I could pop down later?
No sign.
Nx
I did notice that the gate to the Lake is open.

- Spent an hour this morning in Baddock Wood, just over the road from Henleaze Road. No obvious sign of Molly.
Has anyone checked Quarry Park at the bottom of Henleaze Road?
