From Bude Banter (closed group), post by Gemma Watton 26/1 around mid day:
"Anyone lost a white Chihuahua? One has been seen in the last 30 mins in the fields at widemouth bay near the Holiday Village past The Manor running back towards the sea direction."

I forwarded photo of Bentley via the post and notifier has confirmed sighted dog is very similar. Screenshotted thread on Bude Banter and added to Find Bentley group as visitor post. Max is also trying to contact Benley's owner to advise.

Hope Devon police review the body cams sooner rather than later ...in the interest of justice they may reveal vital evidence and identity of these thieves who maybe already known to the police. Please make sure all breeders are alerted in case they think they can use him for breeding and keep the adverts going on all sales sites and FB pages xx.

Shared on FB just in case someone I know out there knows anything. So sad for the owners, who obviously wanted to have their dog with them rather than shut at home on their own, and the car boot organisers. Supposed to be a fun day out and/or a chance to make a bit of money, not a great advert but pray for a happy ending x

There have been no sightings & no information on Bentley since he went missing.
The police are still to view body-cam footage from the staff at the car boot sale. His posters have been shared far & wide across all local fb sites/vets everywhere!

Please keep a check on all the Facebook selling sites, pre loved, gumtree, shpock, local papers etc. It maybe worth putting an ad in the paper wanting a similar breed and see who comes forward....you never know. Also keep a check on the stud pages as they could be earning money in a few months to put him to stud if he's not been neutered that is.

Those that frequent this car boot might know the car with its couple otherwise the attendant who takes the money....they are likely to have visited other car boots so alert and send out volunteers/ family to check them out?...advetise a reward to sellers who come forward as they will be money driven by way of a poster with no questions asked for info...someone will know or have noticed them on this occasion or past. Any CCTV in the area or down the road that catches them driving away? Check campsites and visitors to area. Tweeting regularly x

I so sorry to see stolen but also glad at last crime numbers are being given out in Cornwall!! So many on our too long list are stolen but listed as missing..... I know its not really relivent but its a good step forward.

Details are being shared everywhere on fb.
I have spoken to owner who has got a crime ref from police.

** It seems there was a car parked next to theirs at the car boot. Her husband left the car for a few minutes to give his wife some change ( about 20 feet away), he turned around & Bentley was standing on passenger seat), when he got back to car, dog was gone. They spoke to people in next car to ask if they had seen anything, as they had been asking about the dog, but the driver started to reverse off saying they hadn't seen anything, woman seemed to be holding her knees together as if hiding something underneath. There were very few stalls there at this time ( about half a dozen) & no-one else had seen a dog wandering **
