When cats are ill or injured they will usually hide behind bushes or hedges. And ask neighbours to check too. You could also borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection, and place inside something with your scent on, and his scent too, And if he has a favourite toy place that inside too. Leave the posters up, and ask around. Paws xd.

Yes-he only briefly came back and went again but he is very poorly, and i couldn't get him to the vet as he had disappeared-i had made 3 appointments for him and been shouting him for hours for the last 2 days and searching everywhere-i am fearing the worst with him being so thin and weak X

He has gone again . He only came back briefly in a bad way and got out again and hasn't been seen since. I'm devastated--think he went away to die :-( I'm not sure how to reactivate his post? any help is appreciated X

Presume all outbulidngs were checked, indluding empty houses, and cellars? And behind hedges/bushes? I assunme you put scented items of the cats in the garden in a sheltered spot? Neutered cats dont tend to go too far as a rule, Is it possible that he could have inadvertently "Hitched a lift" somewhere. If so I would try an ad in a National newspaper, and ask friends, and neightbours toi share as well as Doglost. Poster in, and around the area, and put flyuers through doors too, and ask around. Alos try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. When you are walking around the atrea, wear the same deodorant that you use on a daily basism as the cat will recognize the scent, Paws xd.

My neighbours cat (Neutered) once went awol for two weeks, so after postering around the are, and asking around, he was found quite near to his own house being fed by someone else. Now happily reunited:-)xxx

• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (117317)
• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
• You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
• Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
• If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
• If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
• Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
