- Hi Gill
Sorry Monty has been missing for so long, but what could have happened is two things 1. He may have got into a venicle, which is very common for cats to do 2. Or was chased out of his own territory by a more dominant cat, and became disorientated, and lost (It happens) And in either case, he may have relocated to another home, to find food, and shelter. Some people don`t always bother to get a cat scanned for a microchip, when they take a cat in. I would ask friends, and nieghbours to keep sharing as well as DL. And post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper, in case he HAS inadvertently "Hitched a lift" He has to be somewhere. Remember too that microchips can move. I know of someone whose cat`s "Chip" actually fell out, so check other sites too. Paws xd. - 2018-07-16 19:52 Claire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West

- Presume all outbuildings, including empty houss, and cellars in case shut in. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Empty conten ts of he vacuum onto the garden, as his scent will be there. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too, and dirty socks too. Wipe his scent lon your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Walk around the area, and rattle some dreamies. Someone may be feeding him. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. If searching when darkness falls tke with you a strong torch, as it will relfect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and put flyers through doors too. Paws xd. And ask aroundLast edited: 2017-07-17 21:32:22
