Awww - just look at him. Poor staffies -so many are abandoned and they are such lovely, affectionate (and energetic) dogs. Really do not deserve this. Well, no dog does, durr. Thank you for caring for him. xxx

I agree SimonH - I do hope they have taken on board the (deserved) criticisms of the past and are now helping the dogs in their care - Calvin certainly seems to point that way.

mange is so easily got rid of - all it takes is a bottle of special shampoo costing about £12. dog needs to be bathed once a week for 3 weeks ----- thats all

Well done to Leigh cats and dogs home for getting this dog healthy again - they're benn rightly much maligned in the past - but seem to have turned a corner. Credit where it's due.

Surely he deserves a chance? He must have suffered so much poor dog xxx
Hollieberry
OMG this poor dog has suffered immensely over a long period of time. I guess the dog will not receive ongoing treatment which is what it needs .

Update on LCDH Stray Dogs website - "This dog has severe demectic-mange which was treated by a veterinary surgeon on arrival at the kennels. There is a slight improvement even after a couple of days."
