Mary
Have there been any more sightings of Buddy?
Skywalker99
I am afraid you have to contact Jenny via her website for her to respond, so sorry you did not know this
James Q
Hi Mary, we contacted Jenny on Facebook that was only way we advised to contact her. We have a friend who works the network rail and checks the reports. We have also contacted highways and left our number, but we'll call again incase, thanks
Mary
Hi Jamie Q. I'm surprised you received no response from www.k9tracker.co.uk if you filled in the online form. Jenny usually makes contact even if she ia unable to come and track. Posters are the way forward as we need sightings of Buddy. Did you contact network rail and higways in case sadly he has been picked up by them?
James Q
There have been no more sightings since 6th August.
We'd appreciate it if you did not state we've been less passionate than Bella's owners.
We did all we could but cannot continue to do so at the same level, it's not fair on our children.
We're very happy for Bella and their owner that she was found, they were fortunate that she had got stuck in the fence so that she couldn't hide and someone would find her eventually.
Buddy went missing in a more rural area. The drone wouldn't cover this area, only Peacehaven and when we offered to pay they declined. The tracker never responded despite numerous attempts.
We work full time and have two children, but for the first month we spent our weekends camping in Southease and postering neighbouring villages and sharing on social media. One kind lady responded to our social media request to collect posters from us and put around when walking their dog.
I can assure you we have spoken to every business and farm/stable in southease rodmell and swanborough.
Thank you for your offier to hand out further posters/leaflets, please let me know if you'd like us to print these.

Have there been any more sightings. It would be lovely if there was a similar passion to find Poor little Buddy that there was Bella who was found after 3 weeks in Peacehaven not that far from where Buddy went missing. I have noticed there are few posters for him and most of these are not legible. Poor little man is out there somewhere. I would be willing to help distribute A5 posters perhaps in Abergavenny Arms, Kingston Garden Centre, Rodmell village etc. Also it might be worth owners asking in the stable yard at the bottom of Rodmell village. There is also a Guest House in the village that often has hikers staying. I think the lady who lives there is a kind person and am sure will give out leaflets. Kingston village and also the petting farm on the Kingston Road might be worth visiting. I can't remember what it's called! Last edited: 2017-09-15 16:46:15 by RIkki

Understandably hard but perhaps you can ask people to help you. Unfortunately I'm too far away to search or do posters for you but I know you have support from others in your area. Maybe ask on your local Fbk pages such as Newhaven Gossip.
Posters are so very important for getting new sightings reported to you.
I know it's been a while since you have had a sighting but please stay positive as you can still get Buddy back. Let us know how you get on.

Hi, No sightings since Sunday 6th August which was in Rodmell in the field next to The Abergavenny. I need to replace posters in Southease and Rodmell, but have very little time on my hands with work and two little ones. We plan on putting up more posters this Sunday

James Q: Hi, wondering how your search for Buddy is going and if there have been any new sightings of him? Perhaps you would give us an update please (log in so you can comment)
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
I've seen that there was a possible sighting of Buddy on 1st August at Swanborough and another yesterday at Rodmell. Please keep a look out for this lad as he has been missing for over a week now.
James Q: I've sent you our advice in emails and would suggest that you contact Network Rail (http://www.networkrail.co.uk/aspx/1346.aspx 24hr telephone helpline)
Please let us know how your search is going and confirm the sighting reported when you can please. Thank you.

Sorry to see that BUDDY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (118024)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
