- UAV lost dog search have recently collected a deceased female terrier type from Beacon Cove Torquay - could it be Maudie?

- the bottom pic colouring looks more like a yorkie. Could it be checked against 129420

- She may not have gone over any cliff....Good they been checked but she may well not have over one.
Possibly she is in that area but has got confused so hasn't found her way home...
I guessing there are posters all over that area? Its possible she has been picked up by someone xx - 2017-08-24 13:58 susieq666
- Sadly, I can't think of anything else to try. Keep hoping, but not hopeful.

- Sadly the search by the coastguard didn't come up with anything. Have left message for Maudies owners.

- The area has been checked with a drone for 200 metres either side of the path at Hollerdays Hill (the footage covered the cliff face & hillside). Sadly with no sighting. The Coastguard have been authorised to do a 'local knowledge patrol' this evening & will report if any sightings.

- I still hold out hope for her, although, if local, she would have found her way home, if she could. Let's hope she's trapped somewhere, rather than gone into the sea. On the plus side, it's been very wet, so she could probably get water, if not food. Living in hope.

- The local PCSO who I sent an email to, was very good & gave me info of a man who takes out his boat on little trips in the area, so I have passed on that info to Maudies' owners.

- susieq666, she is a local dog. We are still trying all suggestions.
Someone on the Drone SAR for Lost dogs UK has sent a message to Exmoor search & rescue & RNLI thank you :)
We may have a drone opertor who is not too far away, so am going to phone owner & pass on info. - 2017-08-20 18:28 susieq666
- Since coastguard won't help, has anyone tried RNLI or Exmoor Search and Rescue?
- 2017-08-20 18:20 susieq666
- I am very near the area and feeling bad that I haven't done much to help find her. Not sure what I can do - searching cliffs not quite like searching undergrowth, and she's been gone a while now. One long shot - if anyone has a boat and is willing to go along the coast from Lynmouth, with a good pair of binoculars... Is she a local dog, or on holiday? Let me know if I can do anything useful.

- I have sent poster to some local clubs/pages including local police office.
Have asked for help on Lyn News fb page to see if anyone with a drone. Hopefully someone will be able to assist. - 2017-08-20 13:16 Seeks
- Will share and tweet begging for help in that area to Max. I can't do any asking for help emails as still working through the other little one list and would send the wrong details to the wrong area.
Will # anywhere near that area and hope xx - 2017-08-19 18:52 Max - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
- susieq666... I am a member on that page & sadly, no one is close enough, I have asked.

- Holly, just seen on Lynton & Lynmouth fb page that Rob Tibbles photography may use a drone ( looking at his footage)
Have also posted a request for drone on Lyn Valley News fb page - 2017-08-19 18:19 susieq666

I don't know anything about them - found the reference on another lost dog's page. - 2017-08-19 16:30 Max - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
- Left message on Lynmouth Coastguard page to see if available to help.
Edited....Sadly coastguard can't help unless an emergency. Have advised owner to go at a quiet time & listen carefully in case she can hear her.

- Maudie is still missing. She apparently got scent of something, just as her owner was about to put her on a lead, to go down the path which leads towards Hollerdays hill. It is feared she could have gone over the cliff. I am trying to see if I can get hold of a drone in that area to check the cliffs in case she is stranded on a ledge somewhere.

- Was she anywhere near the cliff edge? If so, ask coastguards to take a look, in case she's trapped somewhere on the cliffs. Hope you find her soon. (Sorry - didn't mean to post twice.)Last edited: 2017-08-12 17:34:27 by susieq666

- Sorry to see that MAUDIE is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (118555)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
