- Sadly Janiejewel its not a good enough sighting to say it was Toffee... Its not a sheep or cow and they said through binoculars it was a dog but its not enough to ask a Tracker dog to go in yet xx
- 2017-09-02 07:59 Unknown
- If Toffee has been sighted on land. Could a Tracker dog be used? Paws xd she is home soon

- We (thsts hideous foster boy & I) have covered that whole area with posters ....They really are now everywhere.
Went out as far as Brixham
We banged on doors, called into pubs, cafes garages, farmers and pounced on folk in the lanes etc.....
At Beesands I really thought I had struck gold....A dog just like her with someone crouched down trying to catch her.....Its actually a dog called Lucy and does live there.
That one doesn't go near the sighting area though and nobody I spoke to knows a dog like that in tha area.....There are now so many posters etc out the message is getting out there much better.
We just have to hope there are more sightings xx - 2017-09-01 13:08 Unknown
- Seeks you are fantastic .....please if anyone else can help to get in touch through here xx

- POSSIBLE SIGHTING...
A lady who was on holiday was off shore on a boat at the week end and saw a dog through binoculars that was on its own running in and beside fields between Stoke Fleming and Lenords Cross
Its absolutely the right area but we don't know if its Toffee.
I going back up this afternoon (maybe after 4 pm but it will be this afternoon) and will bang on doors, crawl the lanes and try very hard to find out who was that dog.....
I running off more posters to and will now clobber that whole area very hard with posters xx - 2017-08-29 11:18 Seeks
- Ratfinkz really hope your feeling a lot better?
Please just let Toffee's family know we are trying all we can to get news. I just feel for them as its such a horrible tragic accident.
I got my real car back yesterday so going up to poster that whole coast. This time they are laminated so will stay up longer. Going to go up to Sidmouth then poster home rather than poster away fro home so its all on the way back so will get it all done.
We are a few miles down but if the family or you need something looked into local just ask xx

- I'm sorry I've been out of touch for so long, been quite poorly, in and out of hosp etc. Feeling really stuck to know what to do to help with a) living so far away and b) having started all this for friend of MIL who i also live a long way away from and am not in regular contact with! It's a weird one! I am so grateful, and I know owner is so grateful, for all you are doing though, please feel free to drop me an email if there's anything I can do / you need to know anything from owner and can't contact her though. Best email for me is: s.williamsnash@gmail.com in the meantime I shall keep checking here, reading the found section and keep an eye on what's happening locally to me that I can help with and pay it forward so to speak!

- Bless you Chris. The coastguards said much the same to us when we rang them but it just depends on if she swam i the right direction.
My car should be back with luck Friday so will go up the A30 tur right to Exmouth them poster right back to Slapton etc before going back to the A38.
This lot are being laminated so will stay up longer to. Lets just hope eh? xx - 2017-08-22 11:06 Chris
- Coast Watch people at Prawle Point knew of her and said the currents would have taken her eastwards so also did Gara Rock footpath but not further west.
- 2017-08-21 15:27 Seeks
- Thanks Chris. We really do just have to try for her xx
- 2017-08-20 20:06 Chris
- We'll try and poster Prawle Point round to Gara Rock, Hope Cove and Bigbury on Sea tomorrow, i.e. further west along the coast from Slapton/Start Point.

- Myrath good idea... Will email them as we really are desperate for help on the second half of that area.
We got a bit of help today from Sidmouth with a Whats On agency doing some posters and also trying to help get us some local support in Sidmouth.
We must keep trying to clobber that whole area with posters so running off more and a lovely lady is going to send us some to. This next batch will be laminated as they last longer. Then once my real car is home will go up again.... With that car you don't feel every mile.... Its easier to get in and out of to ;-)
Thanks again and will go email them now xx - 2017-08-19 17:55 Myrath

- Bless you Chris I so glad you did that as I couldn't find the way up there. Even with a big flashing light lol I have no idea how you get to it
I did find something call Start something or other just up from the village of Slapton.
Did every telegraph pole I saw as well as foot paths that said coast and Bridle ways. I know I went to Slapton and Slapton Sands. Is it South Molton? Little Dartmouth, Dartmout proper (they wont stay up long as on lamp posts) then a load of places I have no idea the name of.
Went up with 150 posters but got so wet, then the pain started so sadly only got to Dartmough not Brixham....
Chris if you need more posters I have around 30 in bags already xx
- 2017-08-17 20:08 Chris

- Thank you for all the shares, help etc. Dog went missing from boat couple of miles out to sea during a fishing trip. As stated I am not the owner, she is a friend of my Mother-In-Law but doesn't have great IT knowledge so I am helping by posting here/ fb etc. Whatever the whys and wherefores of what should / could have been didferently, the fact is there's a dog, hopefully out there somewhere, a long way from home and likely scared, and as a dog lover myself I had to help all that I could on the off chance we can find her. I don't know times / tides etc but will find out- thank you to those who are helping! X

- Sorry to see that TOFFEE LOST AT SEA POSSIBLE SIGHTING is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (118571)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
