- I still run sophie lost dog on the Quantocks Page and respond to all/any similar found dogs. We use this page now for all surrounding postcode lost dogs and it has a fabulous following of locals.
This page is still set to Sarah, sophies owner. She left the page last Christmas. I will obviously contact her direct if we have and hot leads. Alas she would now be an elderly dog but we never know xxx - 2018-12-29 22:27 Sue - onestopalldogs

- Thank you Poochpal for updating our search info so far. We also had a sighting of a black white dog on the train track spotted from the A357 near cedar falls spa. Heading towards bishops lydeard. Further search that direction show open boundaries on level field to track. I worry she's working a big area still. A drone operator from Wellington is now helping us. At last. Can we have a bump and TA2 and TA21 alerted for surrounding commuters into this now south area. Katie fox

- Recent sighting yesterday, copied from Facebook post. Come on Sophie, time to go home.
Our last positive sightings were on days 29 & 30 in combe florey village and since then days 37 & 38 barking outside the village at a remote same spot on heritage railway embankment. - 2017-09-19 17:53 Nennifer

- K9 tracker dog trailed for sophie last night. Light and time wasn't on our side but the dog seemed to be 'working' and looks like trails around the list spot and branching down toward the bunkers hill track and further trail west towards seven sisters side of hilltop. BUT as I say time brought the handler back to carpark. He has committed to help as soon as a sighting so that's great. It hopefully shows she is on her feet and there to find I truely believe she's off the hill and roaming the surrounding area so all huds would thin 5 miles should be concentrated on. I covered house called to the south the whole of bunkershill and into Kingston. I place road boards on the surrounding roads lanes for the whole base of hill hoping to jog a memory if seen on 'which' side

- Thanks twoDs, Good advice, I advised owner to do that a few days ago, so hopefully they are all aware, as you obviously are you can see so much more from a horse and cover more ground.

- From Facebook ... "News of Sophie roaming on the night of her disappearance by a motorist who stopped on Buncombe Hill".
- 2017-08-22 10:09 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- I have had a message from KatieF to say the ground search is off today but sightings still need to be reported. This is due to a sighting on the night Sophie went missing running near Buncombe Hill so no longer thought to be trapped in undergrowth/brambles. Please can everyone scan the area with binoculars for signs of Sophie? Report all sightings to the contact numbers on her poster.

- Meeting at Seven Sisters? Have shared in some local groups - Quantock Hills have posted as well on FB - presume all the riding stables in area have been sent details?

- Good luck with the search today, Sophie needs to be found and back home where she belongs.

- Please can bump for search volunteers to join up on the hill from 12 noon. We have a few but would love at least 10-15 to work wider fern/gorse areas. Legwear shour be jeans/overtrousers and a sturdy stick/pole to move the foliage. I will post a thread on doglost somerset page also and check here later.

- Katie F: Please - what is meant by "both areas" Have there been sightings?
- 2017-08-21 04:59 KatieF - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset
- I spent all Friday on and around the hill on foot. Met with Sara the owner and a good few other friends all out walking and looking. We have a Facebook chat link going to converse on who has done what and I'm taking my road boards down.
We still have to cover both areas
1 is she stuck on the hill
2 has she roamed down into the surrounding area
No sightings would normally sway me to stay looking up too but as the area is so rural and in some directions residences/habitation is very sparse.
A gent with great knowledge has now highlighted a badger set and disused bunker that no one was aware of so these are know trying to be looked into.
Routing for this poor sweet girl.
I'm hour and a half away so just trying to input what I can. - 2017-08-20 02:23 Seeks
