- We are all very happy and all very relieved. Alfie is back home this morning, eating well and looking bright-eyed apparently. I will be taking him to vet for healthcheck. Thank you again everyone involved in making his return happen. This is a wonderful organisation!!!

- Great news :) Well done to all involved.
Welcome home Alfie. Lovely reunited photo.xx
- 2017-08-21 17:30 Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
- Alfie was just so happy to be reunited with the 'grandparents' it was just wonderful to see. He was very thin and had a few grass seeds lurking in his coat and a bit of a sore paw but otherwise we couldn't find much wrong with him.

- New reunited photo on now. Alfie is on his way back to Norfolk! (Refresh/reload to see it please)
- 2017-08-21 15:18 Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
- It certainly was the threat of Tiga! There were 2 more sightings this morning as we headed down to Brighton but Alfie was safe just as we arrived.
- 2017-08-21 14:13 Mary

- Very pleased to see Alfie has been found. Stay close now Alfie. Just the threat of Tiga has worked its magic once again, Jenny.

- I just had a call to let me know Martin! Very relieved for you and all the family. A very worrying few days for you but a great result from all the work done by them. It's so nice when owners and families follow the advice that we give.
It was good to see how much support you had. Thank you to everyone who helped search and poster for this little lad.
Just on more thing to ask and that is to please take down any posters that you see. That's the best job of all.
Welcome back Alfie :)
- 2017-08-21 12:37 Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)
- Yes, Alfie has been found and is safe. Will shortly be on his way home. Thank you to everyone who helped find him. And thank you especially Jenny & Tiga K9tracker for all the advice and support.

- Will await for confirmation from Yolanda but I believe that Alfie has been found and is back with the family.
- 2017-08-20 14:13 Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
- Martin, I spoke to Belinda a couple of hours ago and gave her some advice - happy to come and track but Alfie should be home soon.
- 2017-08-20 13:56 Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)
- Update on Alfie. There has been a new sighting of him at top end of Ladies Mile. This was around 1:30pm today., Sunday 20th. We would like to organise a group of people to go out now or later today,
- 2017-08-20 12:44 Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)
- Many thanks for that. I have sent a help request on K9tracker, but we still have not heard back from Jenny, except for confirmation email. We have made sure he has access to the garden and have left bedding there. Thank you for the information. People have been out looking again this morning but no new sightings since yesterday 4pm.
- 2017-08-20 10:06 Mary
- Martin it is K9tracker.co.uk, that skywalker99 suggested earlier. If you fill in the online form so Jenny is aware. At the moment the priority is to get as many posters up as you can, so you get sightings. Make sure Alfie can get back into the garden he went missing from and make sure some of his bedding has been left in a sheltered place there. Also leave your own unwashed socks or an old t-shirt by the entrance to the garden, so if he makes his way back he knows he is in the right place. Alfie is likely to be most active at dusk and dawn. If the sightings get further away, from where he went missing from, you will need something with Alfie's scent on for Jenny's dog to track, so keep something back. - Someone has suggested that we contact a scent dog owner. Can you help with this? Who can we contact and what would you advise? Many thanks

- Thank you Clarkey for all the encouragement. We are trying to stay positive, but also now very anxious as he has now been out alone for 3 nights. Belinda and Yolanda are going now to Ladies Mile to look again. Hopefully there will be others able to go out an help again. The Patcham community FB group have been very helpful.Last edited: 2017-08-20 08:19:12 by Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)

- That's excellent news Martin Dewey and especially as the sightings are away from the roads. I have also shared to a couple more Fbk pages in the Brighton area so more people sharing this evening.
I have advised Yolanda to lay a scent trail from where the last sightings were to her house. That way Alfie may follow it and return later on or in the early hours. However, it may take longer but you are doing everything you can to find him. It's not unusual for a lost dog to take it's time to make their way back so try to stay positive please!
I've got everything crossed that Alfie will be back soon.

- paws crossed....for good news soon...
- 2017-08-19 20:46 Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)
- Thank you for the tips. There were a couple of sightings in Patcham a few hours ago. Have been posting in Patcham community noticeboard on FB and have had a lot of responses from local people. Several people have been out actively helping to look. He was spotted on Ladies Mile Nature Reserve.
- 2017-08-19 19:46 Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
- Thanks for the updates Martin Dewey. I have bumped the page for the new sightings. Usually people on Brighton Dogwatch will have posted to other local pages. They are a great group who help us so please make sure you keep a look out in the comments on there as often locals will post on there and not put on this page.
You are doing everything right to find Alfie so well done.
I can't stress how very important it is to put as many posters up as possible so that the sightings keep coming in. If you mark up a map with the places that Alfie has been seen you should be able to work out which way he is travelling. So when someone calls you please ask exactly where they saw him, when (time) and which direction he was going in as that will help you.
Please keep us updated with any new sightings and info.
Stay positive as you are doing a good job and have a lot of support.
Best of luck. Last edited: 2017-08-19 19:59:24 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex - 2017-08-19 17:08 Skywalker99
- If it is safe can you lay a trail of your diluted pee back to the house?
- 2017-08-19 15:41 Yolanda
- Sat 3.30pm update: Still Missing. Someone saw a dog of a similar description on Ladies Mile Nature reserve, which isn't far from other sightings and from where he went missing. We have been looking there and are now circling that area and slightly beyond. Please keep looking and reposting. We're desperate to find him.Last edited: 2017-08-19 15:42:27 by Yolanda

- Many thanks for checking this. Will look for other relevant FB pages.
- 2017-08-19 12:25 Skywalker99
- I have checked, he is in Brighton dogwatch, but it is worth posting him to as many local FB pages as you can, plus harveys army south and red alert.
- 2017-08-19 12:14 Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)
- Thank you for the tips and support. We are leaving food bowls out in front of the house and bedding in the garden. The problem is he does not know the area though. He lives in Cambridge and was visiting Brighton. Will try K9tracker now. I don' think he's on the Brighton Dogwatch page yet. Will try and do that now too.
- 2017-08-19 10:34 Skywalker99
- try contacting www.k9tracker.co.uk, is he on the brighton dogwatch fb page? has something smelling familiar (his bedding) been left in the garden?
- 2017-08-19 10:11 Martin Dewey (Alfie's owner)
- Alfie is still missing. He ran away from my sister-in-law's house in Patcham on Thursday. Alfie lives in Cambridge and was staying with them while I am away on holiday with my chidlren. He was last seen at 2pm on Friday 18th, heading along A27 towards Lewes. We have put up posters all around local area and have posted on Facebook. Alfie is a very nervous dog and likely to be very scared if approached. Please help us find him. We are desperate to seem him again.
- 2017-08-19 03:16 Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
- Sorry to see that Alfie is missing. I've sent you our Doglost advice emails to help you with your search. Please would you comment on here to let us know as much information as possible as to how Alfie went missing please.
The most important thing is to get posters up in as many places as possible as that's the way that you will get sightings reported to you. When someone calls please ask when (time) they saw Alfie, where and which direction he was going in so you have an idea of where he's travelling to/from.
Best of luck with your search for your little lad and please keep us updated. - 2017-08-18 22:22 Millypod (Chris) - Administrative Volunteer
