Janie jewel - great advice there & stuff that we've been doing since he vanished. Been leaving scent markers, walking miles searching, calling every single day, sharing across social media, leafletting, posters, taking every bit of kind & thoughtful advice we've been given. Doing something proactive every day helps keep the heartache at bay. If someone is feeding him then I hope he's being cared for until they realise he's already got a very loving home. Thanks again for your kind advice. Last edited: 2017-08-19 09:34:25 by Sara B

Thank you Holly! Basil was left an enormous hole in our family that we need him back home to fill. How lovely that you had a special Basil too <3

It is possible that someone is feeding Basil. It is so common. My neighbours cat once went awol for about two weeks. Aftr posters were put up, he was found not far from hos own home being fed by someone else I would put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too. Walk around the area`s holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. when searching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area`s, and put flyers through doors too. Paws xd.

Wish you much luck in getting your Basil back where he belongs. We had a much loved tabby called Basil, he was a beautiful boy and is still in our thoughts x

Thank you DogsLost - so grateful for how swiftly things have swung into action. Wish I had registered Basil with you sooner, but didn't realise you covered cats too. Hoping for news of my much loved & desperately missed boy.
