- Other Info Merlin is a large white & grey Romanian shepherd dog. He will be scared as he's a rescue dog & will run so PLEASE DO NOT try to catch or chase him. If you see him please call owners asap. Thank you.

- Thanks to everyone for offering help. Great to hear from Merlin's owners that they were on the way to collect him. He was a lucky lad to be found so quickly as this is the message his mum sent me:
"He's back with us. Another dog walker found him still in the woods. I think he must have hid and then started to come home. His lead was wrapped round some barbed wire so he couldn't carry on his journey. So pleased to have him back!"
If anyone uses a retractable lead I would politely suggest you get one of those straps that can go around the handle and your wrist (or can be attached to a belt) Makes it a lot safer if you drop the lead, which is easily done.

- So sorry to see Merlin is missing. Thank you for chatting with me and giving me more info as to how Merlin was lost. I've sent you our Doglost advice emails to help with your search.
Merlin went missing at approx 10.30am whilst on a walk in the woods between Ivyhouse Lane and Rock Lane. He had his retractable lead attached to him when he was lost. He lives nearby so should be able to find his way home. Mary (M's owner) and family have continued searching in the woods but there has been no sign of him yet. They have been letting local places know he is missing and I have suggested getting posters to Coghurst Hall holiday park, Rotherfield Nursery, the Conqueror's March pub and RSPCA Bluebell Ridge cats home so they are all aware.
Owners do not have a printer and unfortunately mine is broken so if there is anyone who is able to print some asap please that would be a great help.
I have advised to get as many posters up as possible so that everyone knows Merlin is lost in the area.
