Quick thinking by owner, but there will always be some low life willing to chance it. Plse get Stanley a tag to go with his chip & perhaps a sensor on the gate so you know when some one opens it. Welcome Home Stanley.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

One more 'point' for the owners against the low lives......., we may not win every battle, but we will never lay down and give up. So if you are looking in mr lowlife, remember that Doglost helpers are growing by the day and it won't be long before there is one looking over your shoulder without you even knowing it!!! Welcome home Stanley. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Congratulations to owner for not paying the ransom, be the diet true or not. So glad that Stanley is home safe and sound. If only we could stop this steal for reward culture somehow.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Welcome home Stanley. We must not jump to conclusions regarding this boy's diet, It may well be true. Also this could put any other missing dog at risk, if he or she does have diet or health problems. Please remember that some of these low life's do read these pages. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a cleaver owner the only thing I can say is the scum must have had a bit of compassion, it was a gamble to do what owner done my fear would be they might of dumped him. But it all work out well in the end welcome home Stanley, I hope you get a tag to go with your chip. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Welcome home you handsome boy. x Well done to the owners for having the presence of mind to deal with such scum in this way. Very brave. We now live in a world where we cannot let our dogs out of our sight - even in our own gardens. Sad but true. Stay safe Stanley. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Stanley is home. Some low life rang up wanting ?5oo-owner refused they hung up and rang back later saying he would take ?300 because thats what he bought the dog for in a pub off some Gypsies-oh yeah? owner then told him his dog was on a special diet and would die-dog then handed into a local vets.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know the pub well, its quite rural but not that close to Hook - more mid-way between Bentley and Odiham and up in the hills. Suggest ring Basingstoke DW Laura on 01256 844844 (switchboard) she's great and very helpful, also try Farnham 01252 774421 and Petersfield/AltonDW on 01730 234318 - all are around at the moment. Thames Valley Dog Watch, contact Michael Colston (colston@farmline.com or phone 01491 641668), GOOD LUCKLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
