- I was so relieved to read that poor Hugo is now back home with his caring family. How very worried you must have been and what a truly awful experience for this senior (and very handsome) boy. Pleased to hear that the dog owner has taken full responsibility and that, more importantly, they will learn from their mistake. Wishing Hugo a full and speedy recovery.Last edited: 2017-08-24 00:33:24 by Millys Mum

- Hugo is home! Poor boy had a dislocated hip and some bites and grazes. He's on cage rest for 4 weeks in a hope that he won't need surgery to keep the hip in place. I don't think he's best pleased but apart from a few bald spots looks better than we expected. The dog owner has accepted responsibility and offered to cover all vets costs, was very upset and assured me they will learn from their mistake. Thank you everyone. Xx

- Relieved for you that Hugo's been found. How awful for him! This struck a chord with me as many years ago I lost a cat after an unruly dog attacked him badly. Get well soon Hugo!

- Thanks for the comments. I've left food out all night and lights on, was up at 3am calling and checking when it was quiet. All ajoining gardens have been checked but we'll check again this morning. He's on all the local Facebook pages and i'll flyer the local area if no news this afternoon. We feel he'll be very near but most likely hiding and in shock.

- Check behind hedges/bushes, as he is probably hiding, and check shed garages etc. Put his unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Walk around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Contact vets, in case he has been handed in sd hr has been injured. Poster a
ound the area, and put flyers through doors too. And ask around. When searching for him wear the same deodorant say you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent, and you are the one he trusts. Try a squeaky toy, and gently call his name. Paws xd he is found very soon.
I know of two Staffies who have actually had their photos taken with strange cats, and the Staffies just ignored them; oinbe a rabbit too. No muzzles either:-)xxxLast edited: 2017-08-23 07:59:19 - 2017-08-23 07:46 Mel
- I hope Hugo is home soon. Hopefully he is keeping a low profile until he is sure the coast is clear. Dog should have had a muzzle on is he is known to dislike cats.
