Lyneliz, thank you for the update. Sorry he didn't manage to live his wild life for longer.

Felix has finally been found. It seems he was living his best life out in the wild near Ruswarp, on the outskirts of Whitby. 5 years he fended for himself before succumbing to a road. Fair play Felix, well done mate, we missed you but you always had that hunting streak and you surpassed all our expectations. You were never ours to keep and we loved you none the less.

Thank you to everyone who helped look for Felix when he first went missing and continued to be vigilant over the years. Thank you also to the people who found him and the vets for contacting us to let us know that Felix's story has reached it's conclusion.

We have seen a very similar cat at the back of Saxon Road towards the old railway line, unfortunately this is not Felix and we assume this is the cat that the sightings were reporting about. We've not heard anything from Dundas Gardens for a while but handed out leaflets to passers by and put them up on lamp posts in the area also today.

If Felix has been sighted, maybe you could borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection or an Animal Rescue Centre; usually for a small donation. And then place inside his unwashed bedding, along with some tasty treats, and your scent too Put the trap near or in the caravan. Also if possible wipe your scent around as many places as you can, because your the one he trusts. He has most likely sought refuge in someones garden near the Rugby club. Poster around the area, and put flyers through doors too. And ask, around. Paws xd.Last edited: 2017-08-27 12:59:04

Some possible sightings around Dundas Gardens one from around 08:30 this morning. And another possibly over the last two days.

Thank you for your help with finding Felix. We have been out postering today and speaking with locals, there have been two possible sightings on Saxon Road, near Whitby Rugby Club from yesterday afternoon, both residents are fairly certain it is Felix which is very much encouraging. We are camping on Whitby Rugby Club again tonight with the hope of returning home with Felix tomorrow. So still missing but we're feeling a bit more optimistic!
