Absolutely. If she had been microchipped she could have been reunited within a couple of hours or even less. A lesson to be learned here. Please everyone who hasn't already done so - get your pet chipped. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh, what a relief that little Susie is back home, safe and sound. What a gorgeous face she has! Pleased to hear that she received a chip as a welcome home present.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

HOORAY! SUSIE IS HOME! Forest Lodge kennels at Northampton had her. It seems a man with a dog was arrested by the police on 4th January The man was held in custody & the dog taken to kennels. Although Jill rang the kennels every single day they didn't check this dog as she was a "prisoner's dog" The kennel staff were about to ring his relatives to fetch the dog when someone recognised her as looking like Susie. They got her microchipped while they were there. She seems in good condition & none the worse for her ordeal. Jill & Jim wish to thank everyone for their help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fingers crossed. Jill has had a call from a kennels in Northampton who have a dog fitting Susie's description. They are going to have a look this morning.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No sight of her still. loads of posters have now been put in various places around the town & surrounding areas, including several people's cars. Jill is checking with the police & DW & rescue centres in the area daily. Really hope someone has taken her in....but unlikely I'm afraid as she is so timid. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Over 100 helpers have been emailed Susie's poster. PLEASE can some of you put some up and help to find her. She is an old girl with no microchip, could easily have lost her tag and needs to be found. If she ended up at a pound it's not a good place for an oldie with no ID to be when they are struggling to find home for young dogs, if you get my drift. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I haven't seen any posters other than the ones we've put at the 2 vets in Kettering, also in the window at Wilkinsons (very busy shop) & the help desk. The police station have one. DW & petshops are aware. I've run out of ink for the moment. Jill & Jim have put an ad all this week in "lost & found" in our local evening paper, but is isn't very noticeable. I'll ring her & get her to give you a call Keelah. Thanks very muchLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owner, feel free to give me a call on 07843 681980 if you want to try and get an article in the local newspaper in the hopes it generates sightings of her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is anyone postering the area Chappers, do you know? this is very important at this stage to fllod the area. Such an old dog shouldn't be out in this weather. Also owners should be checking with DW, Vets, Police, and rescue centres in person. Susie may be described differently and not be recognised. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly - no. Poor little Susie. She might be thin but she's wiry. I hope she's safe somewhere. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo sent to you. The owners. Jill & Jim are friends of mine without internet access. Susie is actually smaller than she looks in the photo & has an overshot jaw with the lower teeth showing. Rather timid, won't go easily to anyone. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
