- Comment on DogLost Norfolk & Suffolk Facebook Group:
Pat Price There was a Black Labrador type dog running loose between Great Ellingham and Rocklands Norfolk yesterday 17th September at about 9.30am. He was running along Mill Lane, a wide track, towards Rocklands. He seemed to be moving in a determined manner so we assumed he was on his way home. - 2017-09-17 23:05 AlisonH
- Daniela I am sure Mattie will be in safe hands. Sounds as if the finder did all they could to locate you are now taking care of him until the morning when they will be able to inform the authorities. At least you know he is being looked after and not out in the cold.

- Do call your local council dog warden as well...As if you have managed to call the warden over the weekend it will be the out of hour service....

- Dog warden and pound advised. Will do vets when they open in morning

- Jenkins...I am sure finders will report to the dog warden when they can get hold of them...No need to involve the police at the moment as Finders were doing their best to locate owners...and are kindly looking after Mattie...who is probably being spoilt rotten....Thanks everyone for sharing!

- Over 70 shares already so times that by 300 (as everyone has around 300 friends on FB) so with already 21,000 local people aware its only a matter of time Daniela before the finder comes forward. At least you know Mattie is safe and being looked after.

- Daniela - please put up lots of posters in your local area, contact dog warden as he may have been reported (as per the law for found dogs). Also contact local vets. If there are no reports with dog warden or local vets, I would suggest reporting to police as stolen.

- Will do, thanks. It's an odd story, Mattie was picked up at home and taken to a house just down the road where there is a house sitter in situ. She kept him a while and then the 'parents' of the lady who found him turned up and she let him go with them without taking any details!! He is very arthritic so he would have had to be lifted into the car. I'm so very worried Daniela
