- It has gone very quite on here!!!. Postering everywhere is the key and of course taking a peep at the local Traveller camps. I have been sending out many Posters to various Vets etc, but the owner's of missing dogs in this area should get together so that more ground could be covered ( perhaps they have already but not much evidence on here) please type SW and get a list of missing dogs in our area you are not alone! Please also take a look at Whizz, Patterdale, SW, they have been working really hard to get him back and some very good leads could be used from there. Come on these dogs are out there somewhere.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Any news Sarah? Have you managed to speak to any of the owners of other lost dogs in your area yet? Really hope you can work together and cover double the ground. Please consider the local Press, there are a lot of dogs missing here!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Keep up the good work, and keep ringing the police and DW incase something has been missed (your lost report might not have been matched up with the found report). As we discussed, as you are so close to the border, involving different DW's, this will complicate matters, so keep on their case. Also you could consider an advert in the Trade It and Countrymans Weekly (speak to Keelah our Press Officer, re the CW advert, you could PM her) Have you considered an article in the local paper ~ read the Bouvier de Flandres post on the Re-united page, to see how successful that might be. Keep up the postering..........you only need the right person to see the posters, and Basil will be back. Chin up!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Of course you haven't given up Sharon you are only just getting started!!!! As you will see there are LOTS of people on here who are only too willing to help you, and as you have managed to get registered on here you will be able to co-ordinate wha has been done/needs to be done now. That way you will avoid any duplication of course. How did you get on with the phone calls you made today? It would be very helpful if you could list the the DW's/kennels/police stations you have already informed on here, so that everyone will know what has already been done. As Corbiere has suggested have a look at Totness (listed as rough coated Bassett) and phone his owner to co-ordinate the search ~ that way you can cover twice the ground as whilst he/you are looking for Totness and Basil you can help each other. Corbiere has listed some fabulous ideas on Totness' post which will help you with some ideas too. Above all, poster poster poster!!! You will see the button on this page by the picture of Basil, which allows you to print out a poster, so you can plaster the local area with the posters of Basil ~ and I mean hundreds! Print them off, and put them in plastic wallets with the opening at the bottom with sellotape oer it so the wet is kept out. Hand them out everywhere, put them up on village notice boards, in the pub, outside the school, in the shop, give them to the postman and the milman etc etc etc......limited only by your imagination! Please follow up all your phone calls with posters of Basil to keep him in everyones hearts and minds. Take a look at Jasmine the Rotty's post in the Reunited section.....she was stolen from Salisbury, but her owners hard work meant she was re-united with them yesterday. DON'T give up hope Sarah, Basil is out there somewhere, its a lot of hard work, but he hasn't disappeared into thin air..........Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- So please that you got at least one of your pets home. Now basil to come back. Do you think your other terrier would pick up Basil's scent. Go poster crazy someone will know something of his whereabouts i'm sure. posters really work, Jasmine the rottie has just been reunited with her owners since 14th deceber disappearing. Got into wrong hands, so it shows that people do read and take note. I am sure he will be back home soon, stay safe little man until your back home again where you belong. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Photo should be on its way later. Owner is active putting up posters in the local area, but will ned help with this. Can anyone who is local please print off posters, put them in plastic sleeves with the opening at the bottom, and sellotaped up, to protect them from the rain, and poster like crazy ~hundreds of 'em! Owner has been advided that there are 2 other BT's missing from Tetbury (same area) so advised to join forces with their owner to cover double the ground. Owner will be contacting Teckells, Cheltenham Animal Shelter, Hereford and Worcs Animal Aid tomorrow first thing, as well as re-contacting the DW and the Police again to check whether Bertie has been picked up. - Try contacting the local hunt or shoot, they may be able to put you onto a working terrier rescue group and at least would look out for him for you. Terriers are great, but they can go exploring and get stuck down holes. Please do try this route, if there is any chance he could have gone hunting. Good Luck, will poster SP8 once photo is added.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
