I have now started a topic on burnham-on-sea.com web site, for these puppies. STOLEN! On sale Burnham, Bridgwater, Weston S Mare? Obviously this web site can be, and is, accessed from everywhere. Anyone can view topics on this forum, but you have to be a member to make any postings. Check it out. As they say "any little helps." We need to gets these little ones back home. I have taken posters 7/1/08 and are still on view at Blakes vet group Burnham and Bridgwater, also Blackrock vets Burnham. I have been busy with Rosie (missing JRT) but have put up a few puppy posters. Will try to get more out there as and when time permits. Hi guys, a big thanks to Poms, Lankeela, A1, and esp. you Rabbitt, you've been very helpful. We need to keep the pressure on. If we can keep posters up in lots of public places, esp pubs and local shops, more people will notice the large reward, then we might encourage some info to shake loose. Thanks Bobble, that's fantastic. I really do feel that the only chance we have of seeing these pups again is to plaster the poster all over the place. Do we have anybody in the Bridgwater to Weston Super Mare area? There's a lot of dog owners there and it may help to get a load of posters in corner shops/pubs/supermarkets etc to get them seen. All Bridgwater vets done and neil hudrums at North petherton all have posters up in there waiting rooms. These pups have to go into a vet eventually. If they have been sold on (presumably that is what they stole them for!!) there innocent buyers will get them vaccinated now.SO COME ON DL HELPERS GET DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL VETS WITH A POSTER!!! these babies can then go back home where they belong Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree Jackie and Bobble postering is the way to go.....................BUT......................laborious though this task is, I think you need to send a hard copy poster to each vets, not an email attachment. The reason being is that an email is easily d whereas if they have a nice colourful poster fresh from an envelope IN THEIR HANDS you stand a much better chance of getting the poster on the wall. A mammoth task eh?? Not if its shared up between DogLosters its not!! Come on team, all hands to the pump then, who can help with this? If everyone takes a poster or 2 to their local vets we can cover a lot of ground here and this is definately the way forward!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the offer Bobble. I agree with posters to vets. What I've been doing is going on to www.yell.com and looking up vets , getting the email addresses (or phone numbers) and mailing them with the poster attached. I haven't got beyond Sedgemoor/Glastonbury so any postings North of there would be great. As Greylady says, there's a lot going on in the background but we need to keep up the pressure and keep the posters in the public eye. Thanks guys.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to my vet about these pups, general opinion is they should be vaccinated and are going to need veterinary treatment at some time. As so many vets are already aware of them, surely whoever has them must realise the best thing they can do is get them back where they belong asap. I guess the best we can do is between us, ensure that all vets are aware of them, as they could be anywhere by now? Need any help mailing out posters let me know?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just been scanning ads and this might be the same as vj mentioned but it is on Loot.com and is very limited in description apart from kc reg.and being sold for ?200.No idea where as only a mobile no or e-mail address.Good luckxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No news on the babies as yet but Radio Devon played a long recording of an interview on their 'drive time' yesterday. They have also put an article on their website with an accompanying link to doglost next to it. Let's hope it stirs something up! www.bbc.co.uk/devon/news Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There's an ad on Preloved today. It says old time bulldog puppies for sale ?300 parents can be seen. Just because it says they are the parents doesn't mean to say it's true so worth having a look and ?300 seems cheap to me. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Saw the add in western morning news yesterday. have put posters in vets etc in Bideford. I was talking to a lady who breeds collies about the pups yesterday and she said there is a lot of money to be made exporting good pedigree dogs to America. Dont know much about this but it could be a possiblity for the theft. No doubt forged papers are easy to come by. hope there is some good news soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi VJ, it is the breeders choice to put put their kc reg. pups on the kennel club 'puppy sales register' (mine are listed on there). If you are offered a kc reg puppy for sale, and the seller cannot show you the pup's papers because "they are still waiting for papers to come through" (a common fob off) you can verify the registration and breeder's details with the kennel club with a phone call. They will then tell you if the litter is kosher. I hope that helps. JackieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Jackie, please could you let me know if all dogs that are kennel club registered are automatically put onto the kennel club list of puppies to be sold? The reason I ask is that I have spent the afternoon trawling the net and noticed a few puppies being sold as KC reg, but when I have checked on the KC website they are not listed as breeders. There is someone in Leeds selling BD puppies with absolutely no details, including whether they are bitches/dogs, how old or anything. The only info is an email address or phone number, but I couldn't find them on the KC website.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also on Somerset Sound this evening and at 8.20 tomorrow morning. Just to let you know how well this site works, ....one of the people who bought one of the pups (before the break in) went into pets at home in Exeter today and was followed up and down the aisles and then stopped and was asked about the pup. There was a DL poster up and all staff and apparently the shoppers as well were all aware of the missing bulldog pups! Keep up the good work folks. Thank youLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, I have just been into the Pets at Home superstore in Exeter and given them one of your posters, they also have a vets on the property so they have also been informed. I was going to email all of the stores with a poster but they are in the process of renewing their website. So perhaps people could pop into their local one and give them a poster, if that is ok. Just to let you know also that the vets in store are not actually part of pets at home (apparently) so you do need to let them know separately.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also occured to me (others are probably already ahead of me) that postmen are another huge source of information (spreading and receiving) - out and about all over the place and very dog oriented (perhaps for the wrong reasons!!).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another good place to put posters is butchers. I went to our local butcher (where I get the bones for our dogs) to put a poster up and met 3 dog owners in there in the 10 mins I was there(all collecting bones for their dogs!) So I gave them all a handful of posters! Orchard fm have been putting out the news about the pups this morning so hopefuly it may 'jog' someones memory/concience! Thanks again DL helpers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spent some time checking epupz last evening. There are three bitches in Kent on there, but they don't look like these three. It occurs to me that these three could be added to others, so each photo is worth checking! Pub sale is probably more likely however.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Who knew the the pups were there? had they been advertised or had anyone been to see them? Have neighbours had any gardening work or drives done recently, maybe questions were asked. Just some thoughts. Sometimes innocent people talk in the earshot of the wrong people. Do wish you all the luck, will pass the word to anyone I know down in the west.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi everyone. Still no news on pups as yet but I have followed up a few leads. Thanks everyone for looking. There's a large article in the Tiverton Gazzette and Express and echo to day and I'm going into Orchard fm radio station to pre record an interview that they can broadcast. I will also contact tv stations to see if they will run with this. My neighbour rang yesterday to say one of his visitors had seen a white van and a man 'acting suspiciously' outside our drive last week, so he's going to follow that up (with his visitor) for me. We have put posters in pubs and going toround feed stores today. Aiming to get to ring round more vets to email them poster. Keep up the good work helpers and thank you so much.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

They are British Bulldogs, and although they are only just 8 weeks old, these 3 were very small and had to have substitute feeding to help them along. They are more like 5 - 6 weeks in size, especially the brindle one.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hiya, I have been trying to ring you (will have another go shortly). I have scoured the freead sites on the internet and have come across one that sounds a bit suspect, the bulldog puppy bitch is only ?250, so either it is legit and the 1 has been left off the front or it could be one of yours. It is registered as being in Plymouth and was only put on the site today with no photo. I really hope that you find all of your puppies safe and well and will keep an ear to the ground for you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
