I wonder if the travellers who possibly nicked BEN b/w lurcher and at least two other dogs in Hants last week might have arrived here? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hijack Molly's Post. Just to let you know, there was a HUGE travellers market in the field in Langley which i mentioned above this weekend. People and their caravans came from every where, mostly Manchester. I was however thankful to see the prescence of at least 1 RSPCA officer. It is entirely possible that any dogs missing from this area, could turn up in the manchester area due to the distance travelled by this group I can't help thinking that Niko - the staff 's(thankfully reunited) disappearance could have been related as west drayton is walking distance. Frankly i am surprised that there wasn't more dogs going missing this weekend. I totally agree with Corbiere. This is an oppurtunity being missed. Don't forget that they are not all out to steal our dogs etc, and even if just 1 person sees a poster as we know, news travels fast throughout these groups. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

C'mon! this is such an opportunity - there must be someone who doesn't work on a Wednesday who can do this! I dont live locally, wish I did LOL - but there are so many dogs missing in the Berks/Wilts/Oxon area, it has to be worth a goLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately, I work every Wednesday, but I know the market has been fully functional recently. Could we compile a cork board or such like with images of all of the dogs suspected stolen in the area? There is only 1 way in and out of the market, so if we could put this up at the entrance, everyone there would see? I really think that this would be beneficial. if someone could let me know all of the suspectedly stolen dogs int he area, i would be more than happy to display them near the entranceLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The Lurcher bitch I picked and took to kennels on Monday is not Molly as i said on 14th. Very similar colouring and age but no scars and too small. We still believe Molly is likely to be in the Wokingham district area so please keep looking. MandyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to be joining the search a few days in (have been away this weekend) but would like to help if I can. Has anyone contacted the Wokingham Times? They played a big part (thanks to Sian's input from Dog Lost) in the successful return of one of my dogs just before Christmas and may be willing to run the story. Also, Mandy I could go out and poster tomorrow if more posters are still needed - just let me know where you think is best - has anyone done Arborfield or California Country Park?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Suzy was found on Mole Road, Sindlesham. Today I picked up a black Lurcher with white, the photo will be in the found section soon. I do not believe this dog to be Molly as she has no scars to her face and is she is smaller. MandyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live in Datchet and have printed alot of posters off. It is probably the usual scum that think they have a right to take our dogs. If there is anything you would like me to do I am more than willing to help, I am always walking my dogs and will keep a look out. Take care little ones until we find you all.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Since Southall Market closed recently, there has been a "replacement" in a field on the corner of Parlaunt Road in Langley which is around a ten minute drive from Datchet. Without sounding streotypical, it attracts a great deal of travellers who buy and sell horses and dogs very cheaply. This took place yesterday and does so usually every Wednesday. I believe this was the 1st one since Xmas. Would it be worth paying them a visit? I will put posters up around this field as it is common ground for Dog walkers. Within walking distance from this field, is a traveller site called "mansion lane mobile home park" this could be some to investigate. I really wouldn't recoomend going on your own as the residents don't have the best reputation in this area. As the dogs were stolen, could a poice escort be an option?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Am too far away to help in the search myself, but remember a Saluki, missing believed stolen in 2006, turning up at the reservoir near Datchet. She's on dogs reunited, called Poem, went missing 30 July 2006 and found 3 August 2006. Maybe her owner could give advice/help on this?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
