Hi All, Thankyou for all your kind messages and help in bringing back Omar. Especially to Pete, My Hero!! Omar is doing well. He seems his usually old happy self and is currently teachers pet coming home with me tonight for special treatment. I've informed the owners and they are of course relieved to know that Omar is safe and can't wait to get home to see him. They also asked me to pass on their thanks to everyone involved. Please don't forget we are still looking for missing Iggy the Afgan Hound and any help your able to give in finding him is really appreiciated! Thanks again. JoLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could this mean do you think that the thieves are in this area? They could have just chucked him out of the car when they got back home when they realised he was old?...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Jo, I'm in Cobham which is only a streak down the A3 from you - if you've got posters I can spare some time tomorrow (wed) to help put some up, I can collect from someone (local shop or something if you don't work locally?). Let me know where you'd like them done... (I've put the same post on Iggy's page too.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dont worry Jo, I will ensure Guildford is well informed about these dogs. Im laminating posters (weather is terrible and Gale force 9 forecast!) and will be putting them up at popular dog walk sites etc... Call me at anytime, esp if kettle is on! Might need warming up today! WE'LL FIND THEM! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi to everyone, and thanks for your help so far especially to the doglost team. Omar and the Afgan Iggy were both taken from the Kennels I run in Guildford after a break in last night or in the early hours of this morning. We have never had anything like this happen before. It's a big shock for everyone involved especially the families and the staff at the kennels who adore them both. We have obviously stepped up security at the kennels to prevent this happening again. We will also be involving a security consultant for further advice. In the meantime all our focus is on getting Iggy and Omar back safely and as soon as possible. The contact number above is actually mine not the owners but we are in contact with them. We will have to wait until they return from holiday until we can get a photo of Omar. Omar is microchipped and registered with the missing pets bureau. His coat is only about 1-1.5inches long as he was recently clipped off. He is also very small for the breed. It is possible the theives thought he was a puppy as it would have been dark when he was taken. If anyone can help in any way like by displaying or handing out posters I'd be very grateful. Thanks again. Jo Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
